Re: Ruby or Sapphire?
Are you talking about the Pokemon on the cover of Sapphire? If you are, I have it My friend is kind of obsessed with Pokemon, and after I got Ruby, he said he was going to restart Sapphire. So he said I could "trade" any Pokemon he has. So I took whatever I thought looked to be the best. I would tell you what I got, but I'm not going to turn on the GC/GBP to find out since I'm too lazy at the time. If you mean a different Pokemon, tell! Then I can just tell my friend when he gets it to give it to me since I know he'll eventually start over again because he gets bored after getting the good pokemon and beating the game.

Kyogre's the one on the front, that's who I mean. And if you got him... well, that's excellent.

Re: Ruby or Sapphire?
Forget Kyrogue and Groudon, it's Rayquaza you want to capture. In the right hands, he's very powerful.

Where do I catch him? I was looking at my poster, and I was like, "Green Dragon! =o"
I thought he was only in Emerald.. but where can we catch him in these games? And I've been looking for Latios and Latias forever =\

Re: Ruby or Sapphire?
Rayquaza is atop Sky Pillar in Pacifilog Town, but the Pillar only becomes existant once you become the Pokémon League Champion.

No, I was though. I signed an agreement with my brother so we would both pay half for each. But he, being the *** he is, cut me off.. so now I don't think I'm going to get one anymore. =\
I need to raise funds for other things though. Being multi-platform is hard on your wallet.

Re: Ruby or Sapphire?
I also have Rayquaza But my person hasn't beat enough gyms to use him without any worries. But I haven't played much Pokemon on the GBP lately just because I don't feel like it. I need another GBA game I can play for a good time.
Aaaannnddd....I found out something interesting/very awesome. Ruby/Sapphire does have all the original Pokemon. From #1 to #386. I saw some Gameshark Saves on Gamefaqs.com and they said such and such file has all 386 Pokemon. And since I play Sapphire sometimes on VBoy, I decided to import the save file. And voila! All 386 Pokemon were in my inventory. They weren't "hack hacks" either. The Pokedex had a description along with their actual cry. Did anyone else know that Ruby/Sapphire technically has all the Pokemon?

I wouldn't be suprised. They didn't put "Gotta catch 'em all" on there for nothing.
People are saying that you can get them through Pokemon Colloseum.
Well if you want some more action, check out either Sonic Advance 2 or Metroid Fusion. I play both games as breaks from Pokemon.

I don't know if anyone has ever suggested this to nintendo, (Though I'm sure they've gotten like a hojillion suggestions for this.), but wouldn't an online Pokemon game be just the greatest thing ever? I'm talking MMORPG. Like it could be done. You could join parties and stuff, you could have 2 on 2 battles, because it can be done. Anyway, even if it's not online, I just wish they would make a Pokemon game for the GCN that isn't some stupid puzzle game, or something dumb like "Pokemon Snap" Blagh.

The closest your probably going to get to 2 on 2 battles from Nintendo might be a LAN setup on Colloseum. If that does happen, then just wait for GameSpy to release the software to tunnel it online.
To Dyne: I didn't even know you posted a reply after my question until now! My friend also seems to think that because when I talked to the person that checks my pokemon, he said I've seen and caught 386 on a Nationwide basis. I've enclosed 2 images from the ROM just because I feel like it.

Re: Ruby or Sapphire?
I chose other. The game i chose is nothing, and the reason is because the gimmick is over, they pumped out too many too fast, it was a fad, and now its dead. remember the Kids and scooters? That lasted a whole 4 months. But back to the topic at hand, i look at it this way, if they pumped out basically the same Mario game each year, the exitement and anticipation levels would possibly stedily drop.
(And im in no way compareing anything to our lord Mario)...

Who revived this thread?
I say pick the one that your friends don't have, so you can trade.

Re: Ruby or Sapphire?
My decision was made July of last year. In the fall I traded it in for MK: DD because I never played it anymore.
