Reason: There isn't any. It's decompressed on the fly so all you hear is the sound as it was meant to be heard.
If they want fast load speeds for compressed files, I'm sure the quality will go down a nocth

Look at THPS3.... the Ps2 version has better sound, and the videos in the game are higher quality.

It seems like they either have to sacrafice sound and quality for very low loading times, or get something faster and quicker than before.. as always

In any case, the backgrounds are aesthetically pleasing, but I don't know how technically impressive they are.
I have to agree with you. The only pics that I see as really looking great are the second and third ones.

The reflection, shadowing, and transparancy are all good on those.

.....

Where did you hear this? I've played both versions, I honestly see and hear no difference.

The Gamecube decompresses sound on-the-fly; there's no speed lost.

And even if it didn't, how can you be sure that the Matrix would have to be taken a notch down because of it? I mean, you jump all over people because they assume that ED will be improved upon because of a delay, yet you assume stuff like this. Kind of hypocritical don't you think?

The pics are alright, but if you want a hatchet job, here it is.

Firstly, the environs seem distictly low poly - an awful lot of perfectly flat walls.

Texture work is OK - but these textures are repeated all over the place, instead of different textures of the same type on things.

Poor shadowing

No bump mapping visible; overall look (especially to the stone/concrete walls is that they're too clean
