umm.. then again, I did miss some of the duel with Pegasus. What I saw was very good stuff though(especially the final eps).

The way Yugi beat that Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon was awesome!
Holy ****, the deul between Yugi and Pegasus was so cool. Damn them for spanning it over 5 episodes!

Why does he talk like a little kid regularly and then get into a battle and all of a sudden get this wierd deep voice?
|
It has to do with his pendant thing. Yugi has two souls. One kid, and one mature (dueling soul). They implement this very well in the Pegasus match.
Cool show.

Wow, that's more out there than I could have imagined. Interesting concept.

Good storyline, good battles, good characters (especially Mai, meow!) but I think it's kind of dragged down by the over-use of the "friendship bond" crap. If they toned that down a bit it would be better.

The show is stupid...
*battle goes on*
Main guy: OH NO UNLESS I CAN DO SOMETHING TO STOP HIS SUPER MEGA UBER SOMETHING OR OTHER THERE'S NO WAY I WILL SURVIVE MORE THAN 2 OTHER TURNS!
Other guy: HAHAHAHAHAHA SUPER MEGA UBER SOMETHING OR OTHER... ATTAAAACK!
Main guy: HAHA I CAST THE EVIL ROPE OF DOOM AND NOW YOUR CREATURE CANNOT DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU CAN REMOVE IT WITH A NON-DIRECT SPELL WITH A POWER LESS THAN 3! (They always explain everything when they do something... like they're teaching people to play the card game) AND NOW IT'S MY TURN! *draws card*... *glances up at opponent*... hm! I WILL END THIS GAME RIGHT HERE AND NOW BECAUSE I JUST GOT SOME UBER THING THAT DOES DAMAGE TO YOU AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT!
Other guy:  AHH NOOO! *close up on face with 2 frames of animation playing over and over again*
And the battles are like that eeeeverytime... at least the ones I've seen are... they do a bunch of crap and explain everything out loud, then there's some kind of BAD SITUATION the main guy gets in, then he draws a card and just HAPPENS to turn the game around eeeeeverytime with the draw of the card... I think he cheats or something...
Anyways nobody will bother to read this post but I don't care...
Oh yeah and as for card games, I prefer Magic: The Gathering (^_^

Haha. Just to prove you wrong, I read your post...entirely.
And I do agree with your short synopsis although I've only watched like 2 episodes.
My main question though is...
Why does pokemon still have the top timeslot in my hometown when it has been on for like 2 years?!?!?!
I want something new and interesting. Pokemon, it's time to go. You repeat yourself too much.

I've seen it s few times.. it's aight, just hard for me to get into it hardcore like. When I first start watching somthing I need sombody telling me what thee hell is going on, I never got that with that series. With Dragonball Z, the first night I watched it I got backround on everything.

Good point DH. And TheCubeStud, I do think they draw out hte whole friendship crap too much.
But, I still like it a lot more than a lot of the other anime cartoons out there at the moment.
Anyone seen Mucha Lucha? That show is soooo stupid IMO.

Some of you guys seriously need to watch this show.
It seems that quite a few of you just happen to either walk-in on some random episodes or watched a few random ones. You would never know what you're missing until you open your mind to the show.
DeathsHand, just like everything else, it's quite easy to generalize.
That said, I realize only those who know little to nothing about the show, are the ones dissing it. Talk about Irony!
Ignorance is almost always a reason for disliking something, but if blinded by ignorance, what DO you truly know?
edit.. watching yugioh on WB even now and was watching during my post...

I never said I dislike it, I just said it was stupid ... I had some good laughs when I watched it though... good times, dope rhymes... Or something...
BTW, another possible reason for disliking something is because you dislike it...

That makes so much sense that it confused me
*looks at screen blankly*

Oh well, like I said, I didn't have anybody watching it with me who knows anything about the series. So It's hard to get into. Maybe if they start over from the first episode sometime I can start getting into it.

I like Pokémon
Mucha Lucha takes stupid to the extreme and it stereotypes the Mexcian culture.
And DeathsHand, Yu-Gi-Oh manages to win everytime because he puts his trust in the cards. And besdies that, wouldn't you be dissappointed if he picked a really crappy card and the bad guy defeated him and he was never able to recover from the situation?

maybe sum people need to catch the show from the beginning , cause its not one ya can easily "like " jumpin in from the middle or watchin random episodes.fansof the show would know why yu-gi "happens to pull the right card and that the little stratagies (which is another reason to watch ) always tend to make sense.
