Better than OoT? Cmon, let's not over exagerate now...

Anyways, I got the game today and damn this game is the craziest motha ****a ever!

So I got the game today and I've been playing it ever since. This game is damn smooth!

It plays, looks, and sounds beautiful!

The best part is the fighting... The special abilities you aquire are awesome! Controls are frustrating at first but you easilt get used to them in about an hour or so. The songs!!! Bringing back those old school tunes are great.

This game has better graphics than Halo... Trust me, it'll blow you away.

Gameplay, now here's where it really sums up! Retro did the impossible and turned the whole 2D Metroid franchise into a full 3D environment! At first I was worried, but now having played the game, I am amazed on how well of a job they did.

Scanning can get a bit repetitve but after hours into the game, you don't need it.

My personal favorite is the Morph Ball. I love this ability. It's probably the collest thing ever using this in 3D! This game has pleased every Metroid fan out there! They're loving it and even if you aren't a Metroid fan, pick this one up!

I bought it yesterday afternoon and have been playing it like crazy. the game is the pimp... that much is true. i'm having a little difficulty getting used to the controls. but i guess the controls are good, it keeps it 3d, but still the old metroid feel.

the graphics are f#$%$ng amazing. yes you should buy it right now. and get metroid fusion while your at it. that one is even more addicting.

by the way, does anyone know where i can find the freaking spiderball boost dammit? i'm stuck. or the magnetic ball. either one.

Its not that it better than OOT, but you get that same feeling when you first start playing it as you did when you first started playing OOT. I am about 90 minutes in and I must say I finally have a game that warrants the purchase of my cube

Yo Stoney C. I know this may look like spam, but I had to post in a place that I knew you'd look. Wheee, Random Perfection is back for the day.

Nooow... before anyone feels that this post is entirely a waste, I do believe that Metroid Prime is THE prime game for Gamecube this year. Some would say Mario Sunshine is better... but, I (as bias as I can be at times) believe that the energetic, yet overweight plumber has nothing on the highly detailed first person shooter.

*shrugs* I'm more of a PS2 fan myself, either way.

P.S. Oh yeah, hello to all the other GCC guys.
P.P.S. And no, this doesn't mean I'm back.

You could always import it. It sucks that I have to wait for christmas. I was going to get it, but my mom told me that she already got it for christmas for me (I don't really care about being surprised) so now I have to wait.

ok, I'm now about 4 and a half hours in. I just got the wave beam and I've got 50 missles.

I am just in complete awe of this game. I can't get enough. Though technically inferior to halo's graphics, they are artisticly superior. Retro didn't cut any corners. There are no repeated rooms. Even every save room looks slightly different (and reflective of the environment that it's in) The gameplay is fantastic. It really does give you the metroid warm and fuzzies. I can see why people could complain about the controls but I don't have a problem with them.

My only real complaint with this game (and it's so small it will sound like I'm nit picking) is that the scaning part of the scan visor is so damn small. It should cover the entire screen. I grow tired of having to look around after having switched to the scan visor just to see if there's any of those little orange things to scan.

Well, I tried hard to find something I didn't like and that most certainly is something but it does absolutly nothing to damage this game in the grand picture.

Overall I believe this is the closest any game has come to perfection yet.

Well, you'd be stupid not to say both. Retro and Shiggy truly have made a modern metroid, and it is that damn good.
