they've always done that (i dont nessisarily agree with thier system.
but they use the other catagories to get a bit sarcastic. and get a bit carried away in thoes ratings.

I agree Null...
if it were an average, it would have received a 7.6...but since gamecube fans (at least the ones at IGN.com...they were saying stuff like "if it gets less than a 9.3 I'll be apalled") love to see high scores, they give the game as hyped as SFA at least a 9. It's sad, really...
SMS was another example of this...

not just gamecube. IGN rates pc/xbox/ps2 games that way also.
i never liked thier scoring system. i think KH got a 7 in game play and ended up with a high score. not a perfect example just a recent one i can think of. they've always done that.
