ok.....where could you have found the second puma piece that the hades guy said to bring him one more so that he can make something very special for you, i searched for A LONG TIME, and I still couldn't find one, I even went on a whole bunch of strategy guides to see whether they stated the location, but in a way i guess FFIX was better because some of the good items in the game were easier to get, although some were downright impossible (steiner's best sword could only be gotten if you got to the dream world in 30 hours or less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), but what was good about FFIX, was that you could use 4 characters instead of the usual 3, and there were more characters that you could control other than the main team, (e.g. beatrix, zidanes friends-forgot their names-, and some other people), and some parts in FFIX were halarious, such as when eiko wrote zidane the love letter and a whole bunch of people got it, and thats how beatrix and steiner fell in love

, in a way i guess both games were good.

Many good points made by BlueFire, but I have to disagree with him on one thing: Vivi isn't really cool, he is...cute. Big difference.

And the FFIX FMVs were better made, but thats just because its newer, but FFVII was an amazing game for it's time and it still is today.....

I beat Ruby and Emerald weapon. They took so much ****ing time to beat because I had to train all my characters to 100 before I even had a chance. I thought Ruby was the harder one because most of his moves were basically one hit KO. Though Emerald did have that damn time limit... wutever, I beat them either way.

FF7 is my favorite FF ever and my second favorite game ever created! I loved it! All Final Fantasy games except MQ rule! I enjoy Square's games a little too much.

FF7 was my favorite. Then came FF8. Then FF9. Then FFT. Then FFX...

Damnit! There are too many good ones! Hurry up! Bring FF:CC!

do you know wut the word "fantasy" means? anything different from reality is a fantasy. FF8 is very very different from our world.

Yes, I hate it when people say FF8 was too much of a reality dose. I went to this FF forum, and everyone is pro FF7, con FF8. It's really annoying.

FF8 is not realistic besides the graphics that were good for its time. Sci-Fi?

Sure, there was a whole deal with space and all, but Sci Fi? (Isn't Sci-Fi a fantasy?)

FF8 is a good game. Everyone just expected to be a revolutionary FF7, and in my opinion, FF7 is a piece of over rated trash. Way too over rated.

I liked it, but not as much as 9.

I didn't like drawing magic from FF8, but I hated the Materia system in FF7.

And what is the deal with everyone and Squall?

He may have been a dick in the beginning of the game, but he changes. FF8 did a good job showing that metamorphosis. He was realistic in a sense... when it came to life at least..

Why did I even bring this up?

I agree with you almost entirely. FF7 is a very good game and always will be, but its way over rated. FF9 was great, i really enjoyed that game. I also loved FFX, which some people dont seem to like....

But FF8 was also great. It was a different change of pace. I dont know why some people hate Squall, hes one of the coolest RPG characters ever. His personality was more realistic i thought, instead of saying like "yeah, come on everyone!! lets go save the world from terrible destruction!!!", he was more like "wutever, i dont care about the world, someone else can save it." thats more of an attitude i would have in his situation, reaslisticly people dont jump at the chance of fighting horrible evil to save a planet.

so, yeah....FF8 was cool

It's not just FF7 that was way too overrated. The entire FF series is overrated. Everyime a new FF is close to coming out everyone comes around saying "w00t FF!!! SWEET!!!". Even though I can think of other RPG series that totally blow FF away, but that's just me.
