Oh man this IS GREAT NEWS!
This will be so cool! I wonder what moves Link will have.
Ganondorf would be cool.
Those mock ups are a bit simple. That second pic is the Link from SSB:M.
I wonder if he'll be able to use some other items like his boomerang or hookshot.... Dunno if the other fighters of SC use other weapons...
You think he will be a secret character? Or perhaps you can only get him by connecting with the Triforce Board (Japan only of course).
I don't think Sony or M$ has any characters that would fit in. Not owned by them anyway.

I just hope they find a way to make Link fit int the SC atmosphere. I mean, he can't look like he normally does. He has to look a little more real-life-like. More... old perhaps, or at least serious.
*Goes away singing* It's the end of the world as we know it.

Were there endings in SC? I forgot... I thought it was just like...

CONGRATULATIONS!
You beat the game with:
THAT GUY WHO LOOKS KINDA LIKE ELVIS IN A STRANGE SORTA WAY!

Anyways... I think he'll fit in fine just the way he is... Real Life-like? Have you seen that Voldo dude? What the fudge is up with him... And then there's that Asteramadiggy or whatever that was in that mockup picture... and I seem to remember a couple more pretty weird characters in that game... If you can have weird, you can have slightly fantasy...ish... characters as well... I mean, when it comes to overall character stuff, he's just like an elf or whatever... maybe if they make his colors a little less bright... *shrugs* heh heh

Well in the DC version I think you had to beat the game in quest mode I think, to get the rea; story or something like that...not quite sure
But either way this is sweet news
*imagines side stepping with Link and chopping someone with the master sword*

They will probably just add more texture to make him look less cartoonish...maybe more lighting...I dunno.

There were endings. You would beat the game in arcade mode and it would have a text ending with a few pictures behind it, different for each character. Then when you were able to get the character's profile in the museum section you could read their beginning.
The quest mode didn't have different endings for the characters. It would just give the game as a whole a little more story. It wouldn't matter what characters you used though.......
Anyway, I was just wondering what Link's background story would be. Maybe they'll thorw in a little sprinkling of Zelda story and have Link on a quest to use the Master Sword, the sword that destroys evil, to destroy the Soul Edge, the sword of evil?

When will SCII be gracing the GC anyhow?

From a business perspective, it's a very good idea. They hype up Zelda by putting it into a highly anticipated fighting game, and they give the GC version Link, which adds another "well known" character to the game. An added bonus if you like. Which will definitely make it more appealing to Zelda fans. (hence more sales).
From a gamers perspective, it may get some getting used to, but I'm sure it can't harm the game. It could be weird to get used to, but if they make him kick ass like the other characters, then he shouldn't have a problem. They have to give him a "cool" image.
You know what I mean? Like he has to properly "fit" into the game, he can't just be put there directly from SSB Melee. I believe if they do this well, then it will definitely work for everyone!
The story has to be matching as well, this is my only concern. Apart from this, I'm all for it!
And thinking about the controller, I think it will suit the game very well! So if this news is true, the GC version of SC2 will be mine.
What's next? The Sony version has Tidus, and the Xbox version has Lei Fang from DOA3?

Zelda doesn't need to be hyped
But I'd say it will help out SCII's sales a good bit... Although if he's just a secret character and they don't tell about it on like the back of the box or something, it might not make a big difference cuz the casual gamers might not here about it
And I'd rather have Auron than Tidus... Although he'd probably be slow cuzza that big heavy sword
But neither will happen... unless Namco is close with Square... I dunno about that though...

Yeh Auron would be better. Maybe they make his sword extra big like Siegfreid or something.
But then again, they need a long running mascot to be put in the game, not just a one timer.
Maybe Crash Bandicoot, or Solid Snake.

Note that I said "So if this news is true, the GC version of SC2 will be mine. "
It did sound a bit skeptical.
But the guy who wrote it sounds a bit dodgy. Isn't it on Igncube? But locked?
Either way I think he should at least tell us where he got the info from even if he couldn't give us a link (get it?)

Crash can use his Whirlwind attack. And they should give him a weapon like a fork or something. He'd kick ass.
No but when I first heard about this (Zelda on SC2), it just seemed wrong. I don't think I'll know whether or not I'll like it until I c the pics/video. So who knows wot the hell is going on.
I'm about to go to work. It's 8:10 am here. Later.
