Lakers Win Game 1: YES!

The nets came closer then I thought they would, Ill say that. From the begining the lakers were murdering them. Up until half time. Then I went out to practice some basketball. I come back (8:00 in the 4th) and its only a 10 point lead! I dont know what happen. There were some pretty bad calls and non-calls against the lakers in the 4th, I hope that wasnt what happened in the third.

Well, in the second quarter, Lakers had all second string player on, except for Shaq. Shaw played a great game. Although they only won by a couple baskets, there was not one moment that I thought that the Lakers would lose, and I think that everybody at the stadium, and everybody on the Laker's bench knew that.

I really don't expect anything to change. Laker's can't stop Jason Kid, but they sure as hell can stop everybody else. Kid got another triple double, which is very impressive. MacCullough, Kenyon Martin and Williams can't control Shaq. And have you seen his spin move?!?! Damn he is a fast mother f*cker!

Kobe was same old Kobe. A six year veteran at the age of 23. Fisser played very well, knocking down several trays, and playing tight d. Also, Shaw stepped up with some great offensive movement.

I think the nets came out really nervous and that prolly explains their bad play in the first half. Then they prolly got some pep talk from the coach and they came out thinking they could win. I didnt get to see the whole game, but i think if it werent for that 26 point deficit going into half time the outcome may have been different..

Yeah Im also dissapointed that peja aired that 3 ball...

Jackson said he told them to lower their playing the equal that of the opponet. It did look like the lakers were getting bored so why not make it more interesting.

Like i said i didnt get to finish watching the game, but after the first quarter was over i saw second string players come on and nets were still getting pumbeled ( sp ? ) and i think its cause they were nervous.

Yeah i still think the lakers are gonna whoop em but i hope they dont

Hey did you know shaq has the highest shooting percentage ever in a play off run by .1% right now? He has to keep it that high tho to keep first place. Just so you know thats jordan in second right now.... and shaqs shooting like 60% this play offs.... I didnt know jordan was THAT good when he was young... i think its awesome for someoene that isnt a post player to shoot 60%

Holy... I heard that Shaq had the lead for that right now, but I didn't know it was in the sixty percentile!!! ANd Jordan shot 60%?!?!?!?! Wow... That is very impressive. Jordan is clutch. I bet you that three quarters of those shots were taken from around the key, though.

I was exagerating but... hes shooting 53% in this play off meaning that jordan musta shot 52% thats still pretty good tho... considering shaq is constantly triple teamed... Jordan when he was younge was wicked.... Hes had 47.7 ppg in the playoffs before and was shooting over 49% while getting 6 rebounds and like 6 assists...

Who do you guys think would win? The old bulls or the today lakers?

I say the old bulls...

Jordan had it pretty easy though. He either made the shot or "missed from a foul."

Well, the 4th game is.. tonight (I think), and if the Lakers win this one, they win the series. Acually, if the Lakers win any more games, they win the series.. the Nets need to win the next 5 games to pull this off.. and it ain't gunna happen.

5 games ??
You mean 4

I still think the old bulls woulda killed today lakers.. well maybe not killed but beatin them. I also think that the kings are better than the lakers and the kings woulda won if they didnt have such a bad game... the only people who really played good that last game were Webber and Bibby .. the rest of them were shooting really crappy.

Oh hehe Erin williams set a new record for the fastest foul out... 6 fouls in 7 min... and new jersy was shooting 78% in the third

Hmmm... the definition of a really good team means one that all players contribute, and don't play bad games. I think that the fact that the Lakers capitalized on Kings' crapiness in game 7 makes them the better team. And how can you say that Kings are the better team if Lakers beat them?
