They have a custom thing you can burn now that copies your save from the first one to the UK import version of the second one, if you're curious and you want to keep your items and the like.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Games of All-Time
I actually forgot about how much time I wasted playing the hell out of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold and Silver. I think the series just became a ridiculous collect-fest after that, and I'm still waiting for my full 3D MMORPG, but in the meantime I'll sing praise to the original Pokemon games and the Gold/Silver sequels. Those might contend for a my top-5 rotation.

Just curious as to why you put 4 instead of 3, 3 is my personal favorite.
Also, hell yeah! Grim Fandango!

Re: Top 5 Favorite Games of All-Time
Oh golly.
Let's try this.
I know it's like a cop-out because I'm going to be naming series' rather than specific games.
1: The EA NHL series of games. Ever since the very first one came out in 92 (I believe), I (or my brother, if living together) have owned every single game of the series.
2: The Sim City series. I love these games infinitely. I'm all about micromanagement. Sim City4 was probably one of the most amounts of fun I've had with any game that's relatively the same.
3: Civilization: Call To Power. It was the first Civ game I ever played, and I still love it to this day. Obviously there are things it could be improved on as it's nowhere near the newer games, but the thing I like about it is the 35+ civilizations you can be, and the fact that if one city revolts for too long they'll actually form their own civilization at random. I loved that.
4: The Total War series. My favourite of the series would have to be Medieval II, or Rome. If you've never played these games (and have a computer capable)m, I highly suggest giving it a shot.
5: Battlefield 1942 - Just a really great war sim as far as I'm concerned. I love the fact you can fly/boat/vehicle it up.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Games of All-Time
1. Battlefield 1942 When this game came out, nothing really had much on it. The reticule controls were finicky and unusually unreliable compared to MoH or CoD, and the strategy of incorporating armoured vehicles into control capture and other game modes simply offered more fun than what other gen shooters could. Made me want to try the Tribe series. Looking forward to the new one (Tribes and BF3).
2. Unreal Tournament This game encapsulates the emergence of PC gaming as being a highly customizable, mod-friendly, and a more advanced alternative. I'd share this with valve's same gen offerings, but simply counterstrike never approached the original UT for ambience and 'bout fighting' goodness.
3. Half Life 2. Took ragdoll and advanced the notion of phsyics boundaries in game environments. Pretty solid cutscenes, animations of the new variety, and appropriate level progression make this an all-around winner.
4. RtcW (2001) This flamethrower spectacular totally blew me away. The role oriented multiplayer was awesome and the single player had some of the most impressive AI guises I have ever experienced. Fluid animations and appropriate nazi locales made this a far superior game than EA's alternatives.
5. NHL (series) / Crimson Skies I've spent a lot of time on the NHL games, particularly '98 since my first PC couldn't play 99'. Lots of fun. I also really enjoyed NBA live 95 and 96. Van Grizzlies : (
Crimson Skies holds a special place because it took the alternate history and did it in a partitioned america way that just works well. zeppelins? air pirates? proper protagonist? killer graphics? had it all.
Honourable mention goes to Warcraft II and III. Also the original Age of Empires took lots of my time.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Games of All-Time
Metroid Prime was a lot of fun, but I'd sooner add Circle of the Moon. I know that game was underrated and received with mix reviews due to the GBA's bad lighting. Had Nintendo not dropped those epic balls and put in a back light from the get go we wouldn't have had that discussion.

Yeha, I should work on that.
I've never played so I typed Half-Life into Google Image Search and picked at random.
