Zelda and Link's sister meet up by chance in the Hyrulian forest. They talk and eventually Link comes up in the conversation. Sis recalls(maybe, depending on D.O.B.) the past days. And everything else can follow from there. But seriously, Zelda better be in the damned game otherwise all hell will break loose from me, considering most if not all the past Zelda games had Zelda in it and or had you rescuing Zelda.

Errmm... It never says Zelda won't be in it... it just says that Link will be saving his sister instead of Zelda...

CAN'T ZELDA BE IN A ROLE THAT DOESN'T PUT HER IN GRAVE DANGER FOR ONCE!? SHEESH!

I know change is good, but don't change it drastically. Some people will be like "Yet another move by Nintendo to put a franchise in an entirely new and stupid way" or something like that. But the change might be good.

This could be (is most likely) an entirely different Link from OoT and MM. And no one knows (except for Nintendo) when it takes place after MM, if it does. Like DH said, Zelda games move around on the timeline.

Or you could go with the no overall storyline with the Zelda games being like Final Fantasy, only with the same or simliar characters.

Yeah, the Zelda series might just be that way... totally new adventures not related to each other at all (except for a few... but I'm talking the major ones like the first one, LttP, OoT, etc... I know OoT and MM are linked)... except they have the same main character and princess and sometimes the main area and all that... but the games are not related to each other and therefore can jump around all over the place...

But then it might be that the whole series is on a timeline and there are just different generations of Link's'n'Zelda's and such... cuz Link's looks have changed each game... He was all short in the first game... then taller in the second game (with brown hair)... I dunno about LttP... then in N64 games he was like a kid and turned into a young adult type person with blonde hair... but he always has the same outfit so I dunno... but anyways...

I read some timeline awhile back... explaining that there were different generations of peoples... and why all the princesses are named zelda and the heroes are Link... and explaining different events (even some that weren't in Zelda games... at least not that I know of)... but I dunno if that was something true or just something a fan made up... *shrugs*

There are several ideas of what the timeline is, there not being one is one of them.

What I believe is this:

OoT,MM: LinkI, ZeldaII

LttP> LinkII, ZeldaIII

Oracle Series, LA: LinkIII, ZeldaIV

LoZ, AoL: LinkIV, ZeldaV (the Zelda in LoZ), ZeldaI (ZeldaI is the sleeping princess. She was put to sleep by a wizard at least 50 years before OoT)

That's my theory. The Link's were coincidence or fate, whichever you prefer. In between some of the games are centuries while others may just be decades. Obviously that means that ZeldaV might be the hundreth Zelda as opposed to just the fifth.

Then there's the GCN Zelda and GBA Zelda to figure in but not enough is known to really figure...

A little poster showing link in a little sailboat crossing the sea!

I've been saying that they should bring the raft back... A sailboat sounds good enough though I wonder where you can take it... or if you even control it yourself... maybe the game will just have to do with having to go all around a world that's made up of a bunch of islands... and you don't actually control the sailboat yourself... I dunno but still I can't wait to see mo bout dis game... I want it NOW...

There's obviously going to be one at some point. I'm just looking past it not being announced....

Link's sister now has a name and no its not Zelda. Link's sibling's name is called Arill.

If you need the Link (pun intended) here it is:
Hands-On Zelda

Its in there somewhere. A little more than halfway through.

It also seems that mini-games can be downloaded into the GBA. It doesn't say whether you'll need the LttP GBA port or not although I think not.

I just thought of something. Wouldn't it be funny if Zelda grew up in this one too? Like later on in the game they have an adult Link without the weird eyes and everything, and we all spaz over him supposed to be looking like a kid.

I think it would be funny

Well that's a good point. Maybe Link was separated from his sister for a valid reason. If Link "abused" her then she probably doesn't want to be found. Someone needs to tell Link to leave his sister alone.

It's in the trailer. He even seems to jump in the sailboat.
