Re: Does anyone else hate Shia Labeouf as much as I do?
I'll admit I dont like him, and I wasnt thrilled when I heard he was in Indiana Jones 4. That being said, he actually wasnt as bad as I thought he would be in Indy 4, and he certaintly didnt ruin the film. It was a great movie, but probably still the worst of the Indy movies, which isnt a terrible thing to say because the 1st 3 were all totally awsome.

*Fixes posts: Ah that's better*
I don't see what the hate is about. I will say I think that he needs to broaden his acting experience. He plays very similar characters in most shows he's cast in.
BTW Rock, maybe you should see the movie before you knock it.

Maybe everyone here is a little jealous that he keeps getting cast with some pretty decent looking women?
No, I agree, he was pretty bad in Indiana Jones. And, the way they ended the new Indy film implying that Labeouf might be the new Jones is a pretty big "eff you!" to the Indy fans.
I don't hate him, but I don't really like him. Also, he's not cut out for a serious roll....did anyone see the preview for his new thriller movie thing? I'm sure that will suck.

No, I thought that was one of the most ludicrously retarded scenes in a movie, ever. I really had to suspend my disbelief for that one. I also winced at the refrigerator scene during the beginning, but stuff like that has been done in Hollywood before so I let it pass.
But yes, the monkey scene was flat out lame and horrible.

I don't have much of a problem with him. But where exactly in Indy did it imply he would be the "next" Indiana Jones? I mean, the hat at the end rolled to his feet, but Indy stole it from him. Is that not symbolism enough?

It "almost" implys that he will be the next Indy, he was so close to putting it on but then Indiana Jones jumped in just in time to save the movie from a terrible ending.

Weird. I thought about it on a larger scale of semiotics. I took it as only Harrison Ford would ever be Indy.
