Re: Super Mario Strikers
I like this game because I totally mutilated Dyne and his girlfriend at it.
I think the first game was 5-1. Then 7-2. Then 5-2. Then they beat me in overtime 3-2.
Damn you.

Re: Super Mario Strikers
Dyne and I played this a whole bunch today.
I had loads of fun.
It had me laughing the entire time I was playing.

And if Mario 128 is as awesome as Mario Sunshine, I'll rebecome the biggest Nintendo fan ever.

You've convinced me to buy Mario Soccer, it sounds fun. And I haven't played a video game in a while.

Re: Super Mario Strikers
Went over to cousins' house for New Years Day.
And was pleasantly surprised to see that they had the game. Apparently, they bought the game by accident as the store clerk placed it in their stuff I think or something. But they bought it for the little kids and the adults seemed to enjoy it the most.
I didn't do so bad. My lilttle bro was down 7-1 and I came back and lost 9-5, which wasn't so bad.
Then I played that cousin twice more and won by like 5 points min. Forget the score exactly.
Also beat some other people.
But my 2 weeks off from the game has really thrown my super strikes for a loop, before I was able to hit it 9 out of 10 times, now I can't even line up one of the sides. Gonna have to practice before return to school cuz I know those folks smell blood.
On another note,
I like to give this game credit for being one of the first Mario games to take a whole lot of leeway with the characters.
Sure Mario's costume is classic and his behavior defined. But they spiced it up a bit. Even giving everyone different clothes, which is pretty much a first. An even an attitude. The attitude is different but doesn't seem like something they wouldn't do.

Re: Super Mario Strikers
Random bump, but didn't see a need for a new thread.
I bought my Cube into work today, figured give the residents something to do and I really haven't touched the thing since I got a Wii and 360 and you know the rest.
Anyhow, I was just flooded with memories of how awesome this game is, and well it missed a lot of stuff I think the sequel added way too much to it.
It made me miss college so much thinking about all the nail biters and trash talking we did over this game. I mean I played my residents it was a slaughter 5-0 in like 2 mins, I stopped trying after a while.
So just saying, after 2 years this game is still awesome.
And if anyone wants I have it for Wii, we can Strike online.

Holy crap, we should have played Strikers when you were here. I totally forgot about trash-talking you on MSN about how good we were.
