and you can do all thoes things already. Theres nothing wrong with emulation on the console, most consoles are able to do it one way or another. and its a very nice feature to have out of the box. just not what im looking to hear about right now.
but theres absolutly not doubt that if nintendo gives me a reason to buy its next console that i would use that feature. (tho i have a feeling there will be a catch later on)

How many of you agree with that guy who said the Real revolution was no-access fees on the emulation on Revolution?

When I read that, the bomb dropped.

The other interesting thing about that list is that Jet Force Gemini is conspicuously absent.

If that's anything more than a mere oversight I'm going to swim to Japan and personally give Iwata a swift kick in the balls.

I dont care that I can do it already. I've been doing it for a long time. Its just that it would be nice to sit in front of a TV and play the Classics without having to buy special 'hardware' to do so (tv out stuff, etc...).

Its just one massive gimmick...wait, deja vu, where did that come from?

Aside from Jet Force Gemini being a horrendous game, it's not on the list because it's published by Rare, or at least IGN says so. Which I'm assuming is where this guy made the list from, trying to find whatever combination gets 221.

But it's published by Nintendo according to Nintendo.com. Well, according to the game info, but the first paragraph says

Quote:
Developed and published by Rare (GoldenEye 007, Banjo-Tooie), Jet Force Gemini is an outer-spacey shooter starring three bold heroes.
So who knows. Microsoft may have to release it now.

I hope that last comment was about your post, because it doesn't make sense.

Yes it would be nice to sit in front of a TV and play the Classics without having to buy special 'hardware' to do so. Except, defeating the purpose of that statement........ your buying the Revolution (HARDWARE) for that same purpose.

While you can get a Output cable from your computer and play it on your tv just as fine, instead of spending $200 for the Revolution.

It IS just one massive gimmick.

About the 3 x more powerful thing. On IGN they confirmed that just a rumour or something?

Source=IGN

Q: Is Revolution "two-to-three times more powerful than GameCube"?

A: USA Today reported this news based on a comment from Nintendo of America's vice president of corporate affairs, Perrin Kaplan. The information was later determined to be false. We do not yet know how much more power Revolution wields over its predecessor.

but i thought you told me before you already sit infront of the tv and play the classics? and i said in the quite you quoted me on that its a nice little extra feature to have, and its nice to have on consoles, pretty much every console is able to do it, and its nice to have it out of the box instead of needing to mod it. so i dont get what the dissagreement is over here.

a gimmick? yes
a nice gimmick to have? very much so.

i'd gladly take that gimmick on every console.

Gah, sorry. My comment conflicted itself I just re-read it and I see what you mean.

My reason to buy Revolution will not just be for the classics. Thats an awesome 'gimmick' to throw in. I would retract my entire comment and clarify but its too late now. I made a little mistake

LOL.... at least you see the mistake...

I was a bit confused as to what you meant, but of course no one will buy a console just because of one piece of information let out about it.

I'm sure Nintendoids are waiting for the arrival of the real Revolution specs and the infamous Controller.

JFG was easily one of the top 5 or 10 N64 games.

Indeed. Although, almost anybody has to admit that collecting all the... Tribals (been a while)? Collecting them at the end was aweful.
