Well, to answer your question...
thefacebook is COMPLETELY based on college e-mails. So basically, if your college isn't listed, then you can't really join thefacebook. Friendster on the other hand, isn't related to colleges or universities at all. Anyone of any age as long as you have an e-mail address can sign up for Friendster, which is why it is better and more versatile in my opinion...Most people who use it are youngsters I'd say, but there are some older people on it.
