It's much much much better half... (^_____^
I think there's a code to use that'll give it to you at any part of the game...
It was my dream to do that, however that was before my life was taken over by World of Warcraft, so I havn't tried it yet...

Re: Half Life 2 Demo Available!
Does the whole game has this sick feeling to it? It almost feels like Resident Evil, with all these bodies hanging everywhere...
I have to admitt, after 3 hours I was glad it was over... it made me feel a bit sick.
I got ill later today, I wonder what caused what.

Re: Half Life 2 Demo Available!
Man. This is the perfect game to bench my new graphics card. Granted, I'm in desperate need of a RAM upgrade (and I suppose my CPU will bog me down in a year or two), but now I can be sure that I can game into the next few years without a hitch.
CPU: 2.26GHZ P4
GPU: XFX GeForce 6600GT AGP8x
RAM: 512 MB
Those are the major specs right now. But I upgraded my card from a GeForce 4 MX 420 - which doesn't even have pixel or vertex shader support. So it's a huge jump for me.
I can now run HL2 with everything on full save for resolution 1024x768 (my flat screen monitors highest resolution) and 16x Anistropic Filtering with no framerate hiccup save for loading periods.
I'll definitely be picking up the full thing this Friday.

No, the entire game is not dark.
I haven't played the demo, but i'm guessing you got to play Ravenholm?
There are a lot brighter and, In my opinion, funner areas.

Re: Half Life 2 Demo Available!
i got the game on monday...it's sweeeeet
i play on mostly medium setting, even though i could run them on high without any problems, it's just that when playing CS, high settings tend to make me lag sometimes and i dont feel like changing them everytime, so i just leave them on medium-high.

Re: Half Life 2 Demo Available!
dont have to actually. HL2 settings are seperate from CSS settings and every other mod.
they all keep thier own settings when they run.
