It's illegal??? You mean it's against Blizzard's rules, right?

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
I sell gold to friends I meet in game. Nothing over ebay or anything like that. But if I've done a heroic with somebody a few times and they talk about how short they are on gold, I offer.
For my close friends I've leveled characters 1-70. I've gotten quite fast, hunters are usually 5 or 6 days played as my fastest class. Others are no more than 9. And if it's something I need to do to bring a friend into the game that will make my playtime more enjoyable, I think it's worthwhile.
I don't feel bad, but I've played WoW for a long time and come to the conclusion that the economy in WoW is worthless. Particularly now. The expansion made vendor sold items cost a much smaller percentage of the gold that you earn than you did pre-BC.
I don't bot. But I know people who do. WoWGlider is totally untracable by Blizzard's Warden program. That's where I draw the line. The gold I sell is always farmed by my own hand. And really, I've only sold ~50k gold, which in the grand scheme of things isn't that much.
But whatever. I'd understand if anybody felt like flaming.

Yeah that most of all. But aren't they "out to get you" or something? First of all I don't like breaking rules, second of all I don't like being caught and having to pay a fine.
I never really looked up what I could get for my account. Basicly it just has a lvl 60 lock with +660 dmg. My brother's (inactive) account has 4 lvl 60s (rogue, hunter, warrior, druid), but only the hunter has some raiding gear (between t1 and t2).
Oh yeah, maybe the biggest reason I didn't sell is that I've always looked down on people who bought or sold an account. Just as on people who buy gold. I always had enough gold, the trick is to PLAY. You either run instances, you grind, you use your professions, or you make money using the auction house.
And Thatmariolover, I think what you do is ok. As long as it's between friends, I don't mind it that much.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
I've decided to take advantage of the TBC 10-day free trial. This way I can see my cute character again, have a look in some TBC areas and fool my old guildies/friends.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
Nope. What would be the fun of testing TBC if you're not lvl 60 yet? I'm playing at the moment, it's so incredibly boring. Been there, done that.

That's kind of how I felt after playing it awhile...
When you first walk through the dark portal is quite an experience though... All the chaos just beyond the gate and such... Then you're flown off to a normal little area that's just like any other place in WoW...

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
i dunno, i'm level 29 now (almost 30) and i'm still enjoying the game quite a bit...there is just so much to do (battlegrounds, arena, instances, raids, quests, etc.)
and most of the fun starts when you hit 60...

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
I had a great year being lvl 60. I was raiding with one of the best guilds on the server (eventually we killed 5 Naxx bosses). I just hate the leveling.
Now the raiding has become less attractive (in my opinion) in TBC.
Edit: yay, i'm getting a Naxxramas raid together! Should be fun.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
Do people still do any of the lvl 60 instances anymore? Aside from the Ramparts? I tried to get a group for Scholomance from lvl59 to lvl66 and couldn't get more than two people interested. Freakin warlock epic mount is pretty much impossible to do now, no one wants to run that crap anymore. Ah well.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
DM, don't you have any friends who want to help you out with a 300G epic mount? Also, tell them that the quest to summon and kill it is really fun. Or ask 1 or 2 lvl 70s, they should be able to solo/duo it.
But I think they still do them on my server.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
I am (or was) in a guild made up of about 30 or 40 lvl70's, and they are sort of friends, but most are too lazy to go back and do any of the old stuff (because they've been playing the game forever and have done the warlock quest like 100 times). They play the arenas, grind for rep, run the heroic dungeons now and then.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
You could try explaining your plight on the official WoW forums.
Just go to the board for whatever realm you play on and ask if there's anybody interested in helping with the quest.
I've probably done the Warlock and Paladin Epic quests 15 times apiece. If you're on Stonemaul I'd help, if you're on Illidan I can pull some strings with friends, but I'm guessing you're somewhere else.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
I'm on Dragonmaw, but I'm not actually playing right now anyway. I was wondering, has anyone here ever sold or tried to sell their WoW account? I never really thought about it, but I've heard of some people getting like $500-$1000 for their account....which is just insane. But besides the money, it'd be nice to sort of, I dunno, get rid of it, heh. Although sometimes I do like to come back to play, if I could get a good offer for it, it'd be hard to pass up.

Re: WoW: Battle Reports
I just noticed a nice little feature.
When you give an inactive friend (who already had a WoW account) a TBC trial and that friend pays again for at least 1 month, you get a free month. So basically 2 can play for the price of 1.
I quit, but my brother still plays.
So when my brother almost needs to pay for another month, he'll give me a TBC trial and after that I'll pay for another month of vanilla WoW. He'll get a free month. We'll just share the costs.
I'll spend my month searching for pets and mounts. And boosting my lvl 60 dps.
