Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
Usually Peach+Turtle for me. Peach for the defense (never get her special though) and Turtle for the shields.
Oh wait, then I can't use the bullet.....
That's when I use Baby Mario + Peach.

Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
I usually use Koopa Troopa Driving (coz he was always the best back in the S.N.E.S days and you know it) Yoshi on weapons (Those eggs are useful man) and drive in Waluigi's Kart, the purple one, cant remember what it's called.
If I am being honest I havent actually played the game in ages, never completed it on 150cc and I haven't unlocked the boo's as characters or the old fart toad's gold car. Never mind, I will go back to it and own it one day soon.

Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
I've owned DD since the beginning but last night was the first time I ever really played it. Very smooth controls.

Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
oh yea. it plays and controls wonderfully. which is why its such a shame they screwed up so much with the content of the game.

Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
Are you referring to the passenger system?

Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
passenger system perhaps. i coulda lived with that tho.
im more refering to the lack of original courses that stood out. i've beat every level on both mk64 and DD, and 64's stand out a lot more in my memory.
Many of the tracks were too short, and lacked a real sense of design and short cuts.
Then they totally destroyed battle mode. maps are so small you can barly move around in em, then they give you weapons that litteratly take up the ENTIRE screen in size. mk64 had huge battle maps in comparison.
weapons dissapointed me also. and the look of the go karts, i prefer go karts, like that pic above for the japense arcade game rather then Mario Soap box Durby cars in DD.

Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
I have one problem with MK: DD, and it's something that I both love and hate: the handicapping. When I'm playing videogames with friends, often times they aren't as good as me because I own the games, and so they lose at the game and don't like it (see: Super Smash Bros: Melee), regardless of how good it is. With MK: DD, the exact opposite happens. I still can win most races, but the handicapping gets really frustrating because any time you are in first you are hit with countless amounts of weapons. I thought they overdid it with this game, and that MK64 had a much better balance of skill vs handicap.
I like the two driver system, and the karts, and the weapons, and the courses, and the control.

Re: "I got MARIO KART : DOUBLE DASH"
That's a new picture, so I don't think the game is out there yet.
Hm I actually like how they don't give you extra speed, but better items. But yeah, it's frustrating to be no. 1....
