Jon Gruden is a loveable goof. He is the next John Madden.

I loved Madden's nonsensical ramblings and random comments about how awesome Brett Favre is. Seems like Gruden is all about Rodgers. I love the Monday night crew. Random F-bombs, nonsensical commentary....Gruden dressed up for Halloween. Lordy. Much better than the assclowns that did the Bears vs. Lions game. Brian Billick is boring and a moron.

Did anyone else catch the epic Rodgers to Finley pass over the middle? That was literally impossible to defend.

I'm afraid this girl is going to cry twice a year as long as Aaron Rodgers is our QB.

Is this the same girl?

EDIT:

Hmm, she doesn't look the same, but it's the same reaction.

Did anyone see the Jets get Tebowned on Thursday night?

People are backing Tebow up, but I cannot buy the hype. I think he sucks and has had a lucky break from his defense. All he brings to the table is the run game Denver did not have.

The point is...the Jets suck.

Rex Ryan is so overrated.

I think what Tebow has done is admirable in the face of his critics (he is 4-1), but his style of play is probably not sustainable in the NFL... so I would agree.

The thing is, Denver got stomped by the Lions. And we aren't even certain the Lions are a top-tier team. All the other teams they have beat with Tebow suck.

I'm not creating an entirely new thread for this, fuck that. Close enough.

The CFL conference finals are today.
I'm super pumped that the BC Lions are where they are right now. They started the season 0-5, finished with a record of 11-7, won home field advantage for this game (BC Place is the loudest CFL stadium, so many opposing QB snap-errors due to noise), and have a chance to play the Grey Cup game which happens to be here this year. Different type of Football or not, that's still a damn good storyline.

Today will either be really really good, or really really bad.

Edit: hahaha...Tebowned. I like that. I also imagine getting "Teboned" is what his wife/girlfriend/mistress does.

Packers vs. Lions next week on Thanksgiving day is going to be fun. I hope James Starks is okay.

Packers vs. Lions is going to be FUCKING AWESOME.

It better be a shoot out. I don't want to see ANY defense (not that unlikely of a scenario, really...).

74-69 better be the final score.

And Dolphins vs. the Cowboys? That should be good too. The Dolphins are suddenly hot, and the Cowboys are all about losing easy games, flip-flopping, and Romo-ing.

Jay Cutler....broken thumb...throwing arm....surgery.

Probably out for season.

Fuck.

It was a fun rally mid season. See you in 2012 NFC North.

Yay, the Eagles season is kind of still alive, and Vince Young kind of did it!

Though it could all be over again if they lose to the Patriots next week.

What were your thoughts on Vince Young?

I thought it was ballsy as fuck to come out the gate throwing a deep pass. Of course it was picked....

But he settled down, picked up the pace of his throwing motion, planted sooner. He looked alright. He's not Michael Vick, at least not yet.

But he seems like he has the potential to develop into a more traditional quarterback. On the other hand, there is NO offensive in the NFL more explosive than the Michael Vick powerhouse. And Vince Young is a smug douche. I want to punch him.

Speaking of smug douches, Phillip Rivers is king.

And Cutler on Rivers, haha:

I like the part of the Bears game yesterday where Rivers threw two picks. Or the part where Johnny Knox slipped and missed a pass which was intercepted, and Cutler went and tackled Antoine Cason like the boss that he is.

Anyway, I like to keep tabs on Phillip Rivers career...and see if he is going to throw more interceptions or have more children when all is said and one. He is a smug douche on the field too.

Here's the thing about Rivers ... he comes off as an arrogant prick. I actually appreciate his moral stances and beliefs, but he doesn't go about presenting those beliefs in a mature or humble way. Hence, he comes off as an arrogant prick. He also sure trash talks way more than any other QB I've ever watched, especially considering he doesn't curse. What exactly is he even saying?

I legitimately feel very sad for Cutler and Bears fans. I'm not a huge Jay Cutler fan, but I do think he received some unfair scrutiny at the end of last season, and he was just beginning to play at a very high level this season. Extremely unfortunate timing.

That's the difference between Tebow and Rivers.

Tebow = humble guy who wants to try his hardest to win games.

Rivers = douche nozzle.

Aside from the horrible media hype, you kind of want to see Tebow win. And by God, he is making it happen! With all these crazy 4th quarter finishes, it is inspired football.
