Default Fallout 3

So is anyone else looking forward to this game as much as I am?

I really hope bethesda dont fu*k it up.

My question is this. And bare in mind I dont get long to research such things, I am at work... 'looks around for boss'

I have noticed three different versions of the game have been announced.

Fallout 3
Fallout 3 Collectors Edition
Fallout 3 Survival Edition

Whats the difference dudes?

Sh!t... my boss is coming...

Ok.. I'm probably more excited about this than you are, because I don't care if Bethesda fu*k it up or not (it's Fallout!)

I also had a Vault 13 t-shirt made, and currently modifying it a bit to add the stripes I'll post pics when it's done.

Anyway, the Collector's Edition comes in a Vault-Tec lunchbox, has a "making of Fallout 3" DVD, a Vault Boy bobblehead and an artbook. The Survival Edition (buy this one!) has everything the CE has, plus a full scale Pip-Boy wristwatch, and only available in the US, over Amazon (damn it!).

I'm going to try to buy a CE.

I am very much looking forward to this game. Love the 50s era feeling to the whole thing.

This game looks absolutely incredible, and I totally can't wait for it to come out. It's going to destroy any hopes I had of actually studying this year.

Fallout 3 looks like fun but I hate the art style and I wish that they just called it "Zombie Fallout" and made the baddies zombies....way better idea in my opinion.

The gameplay does look good though, and that's all that matters. We will see when it comes out I guess.

What dont you like about the art style? I think it looks good. And theres not that much of a difference between zombies and mutants.

I don't know...I'm just not impressed with the art style. We will see if I like it when I actually get a chance to play it.

I think developers are JUST realizing the untapped nerd-potential in zombie games. Who is a nerd and doesn't love zombies. Zombies are pure win, and a zombie game where you have to survive in a post-apocalyptic world would be amazing. I'm waiting for the zombie MMO. It's coming.

Ok first off let me say that I pre-ordered the Survival addition of the game and I have played the older ones on PC as well. I am extremely excited to play it and the videos on Xbox live look awesome. The only gripe I have with it is that it’s Oblivion with different characters. It looks like Oblivion, plays like Oblivion; it might as well be Oblivion 2. I liked Oblivion so this gripe doesn’t mean that I will not get the game its just kind of lame for such hype over a remake of a remake with new skin.

Pre-ordered the CE here. I liked what Oblivion did and can only expect Fallout 3 to make improvements.

I actually played this at PAX, and I found what I played really, really boring for the 10-15 minutes I got to play.

I'm still picking this up, but I wouldn't expect this to be GOTY material.

Nah, it wont be GOTY, but probably RPGOTY. Farcry 2 or Fable 2 will be taking GOTY, but Fable 2 is also RPG, maybe it will get both?

I got to watch the developers run through a demo of this game at PAX and all I can say is HOLY FUCK!

I am so pumped for this game. In the demo, the developers stealthed a live hand grenade into someone's pocket, nailed someone's head to a wall with a railroad spike gun, beat people down with a hydraulic fist, and caused a nuclear explosion.

Also, for attending the demo, everyone got a random prize. I got an actual hand puppet based on the vault boy puppet from the comic strip Penny Arcade is doing on the Fallout website.

Lucky.

I think Fallout games tend to start slow (as do other RPGs, but I don't have much experience with them), so it's normal that it was boring. I think it'll turn out great though.
