Best games of the year so far?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet... but 2002 is nine months old or there abouts and while the year's biggest games are STILL on the horizon, so far, its been pretty amazing ALREADY. So, what are your favorite games fo the year so far? Taking everything in account up until the end of August (so you can say Mario ) Mine so far are in no particular order....

Soccer Slam (Xbox)
Beach Spikers (GCN)
Gun Valkyrie (Xbox)
Gungrave (Import PS2)
Way of the Samurai (PS2)
Murakumo (Import Xbox)

Granted I got about half imports, and 3 of those are coming here later this year, but no one faults that fat guy Ebert for picking bizarro Foreign movies.... My tastes are odd.
