Basically, I don't see any legitimate reason for publishers to be so secretive about their games' DLC plans. In fact, I think it hurts them. Instead, I propose that publishers make a more concerted and explicit effort to make as many (non-spoiler) details as possible to be known at the time of launch, most importantly by including a "DLC Schedule" pamphlet in box of a game.
