Try the clothes swapping method I mentioned earlier on the children in Little Lamplight. You can get several unique costumes this way. The Mole Hat, Star Pyjamas etc.

Be warned, if you give the girls raider armour they suddenly grow boobs, funny if a little strange.

You dont seem to be able to steal their hats though, except for the kid in the baseball cap. When you try and wear it, it is giant, floats above your head because it doesnt fit properly.
