Plus one other thing:

Nintendo knows only one person can play per revolution console, so they make the consoles connect to each other for free across the no line community, and when in close proximity.

Meaning your friends who perhaps don't own a Revolution of their own can't simply waltz over to your house to engage in multiplayer action... I just can't see them doing something like that...
