Okay, so I want to play this game, but I've never (fully) played any other RE, and with the control scheme they have (much less the save system, ugh) I probably never will.

So, I thought, "I could read the novels!" But I didn't want to go and spend money on them (and distract me from other, better stuff) if they absolutely sucked or had nothing to do with the games.

So what I'm asking is, are the novels worth it? Would I be able to read those instead of playing the games, and still get the whole story? Or are they poo? Are they worth buying, or will a library work (I've actually seen them there...)?

I didn't even know there were novels...

I suggest just going to gamefaqs and reading plot guides... They say what's goin down and they're free...
