A few thoughts on "racism"...
So many of us depend on conflict to define ourselves.
Non-whites who feel the need to see themselves as victims of racism.
Whites who feel the need to see themselves, or aknowledge themselves as a racist.
To me, each is as "racist" as the other. When inside, maybe neither really is.
Why is there BET (Black Entertainment Television)? What kind of verbal outbreak would there be if someone established WET?
Racism, in an innocent form (lets face it, the thoughts of racism flow through our minds quite a bit...without the sensation of hatred towards a certain race) is present everywhere, all the time. Luckily, racism in its true form (Nazis, KKK, etc.) is quite rare.
Chinese people cant drive.
Whites are conceded, hatefilled @$$holes.
Black people like shooting each other.
Brown people are terrorists.
have I forgotten anyone?
Every time I hear someone seperate themselves from someone else based on their skin colour, I cringe...then I realize that I, myself, do the exact same thing.
We're prone to stereotype everywhere we go, everytime we open our eyes, everytime we listen. I think people are comfortable with stereotype. Amused by it. It's been watered down so much, that it has become second nature. Did I offend you? I shouldnt care if I did...I'm just a hatefilled @$$hole.
thoughts?
