Default My Gamecube froze, wtf???

Has any of you guys ever had your GC freeze up on you?

Mine just did while I was playing Skies of Arcadia. I had to do the whole Dark Rift thing again, and that kind of sucked. Its suprising to me because I didn't think this would happen on the GC. Well I guess it could be the game too.

Yes. My GCN froze while I was playing Metroid Prime, it was during an elevator scene. But then I went down that elevator again and nothing happened... I dunno the problem.

Rouge Leader froze on me ONCE. Tiger Woods PGA tour 2003 froze on my ONCE. My brother has claimed PRIME has frozen on him a time or 2 when using a certian elevator, but its never froze for me.

The elevator freezing is a glitch. It happens once in awhile, but Nintendo has said future version of MP won't have this problem. But as to why it might've froze, either you've had it on for a long time, or if you've had the 'Cube since it came out, it could be getting a little "old". My friend's PS2 always likes to not read DVD's unless you give it a little "lovin"

The Prime thing is the game, not the system.

Besides that, I've had my GCN freeze twice when playing Rogue Leader. It was kind of wierd one of the times... An AT-ST suddenly appeared on top of my Y-Wing and then it froze there...

*shrugs and walks away*

No, I have never had a problem with it. Though its not too uncommon that just about any console will freeze once and awhile.

Overall I cant complain with the Cube's durability. Ive taken it on ski-trips and left it in the -10 degree actual temp. car overnight, and it worked fine in the morning.

The only weirdest thing to have happen to my 'Cube was when I was at my friends house and it was on and it started making the sound of a loud Semi Truck horn. We didn't know what it was and then I noticed it was my 'Cube doing it! I shut it off and turned it back on and nothing wrong has happened to it since then.

NBA 2k3 froze on me plently of times... but it's because of a bug in the game. It seems to happen to everybody who has the Cube version.

Other than that my Gamecube has preformed to perfection.
