I'm reading up at the Helbreath site and it looks like a US version of the game is due to come out soon. It is scheduled that servers will be up on the 15th of this month and it will be only for US people. It sounds like, however, that you need a new account and need to d/l a different version of the game, but it will mean basically NO lag, no disconnects, and everyone should start out at an even level.
I have not looked at it enough to understand how the change will all work. If you want to check it out, go to www.helbreathusa.com or check out the forums at the main site.
