Brian would rolling in his grave..... if he weren't alive and well
I picked up a Platinum Gamecube this past Wed. I have PSO, Cubivore ( ), and Capcom Vs. SNK EO so far. I'm leaning towards StarFox as my next title, but with Freeloader coming out eventually I may get the European Doshin the Giant....
Anything on it not Nintendo any good? I only say not Nintendo simply because I expect I'll have SMS, MP, and SFA eventually. Keep in mind I also have an Xbox and PS2.

Most people are quick to bash Rare's Star Fox Adventures, but not me. I throughly enjoyed it. Ill admit it was a little too easy, its has some amazing graphics, and the facial anamations are the best ive ever seen in a videogame, period. And the ending does not dissapoint.

Can someone say spoiled child?
I'd reccommend Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pikmin.

I DID buy all of them on my own.... I don't think my Mom has bought me a game since Maximum Carnage for the Super Nintendo....
I was interested in Star Fox. Some have said its too much like Ocarina of Time with Blue Furry chick (not too much of a bad thing) and some say its just too short. Probably pick that up.
Funny thing about SFA. Back in my EB I knew an Xbox rep that come in every month or so. Last time I saw him he said something that due to the Rare/MS deal, Microsoft actually gets a royalty for every copy of that game sold. Maybe that's why Gamecube fans or so teed off....
Mystic Heroes any good? BreakABone (Penguin Bobby?) picked it up a while ago and told me about it. Sounded good but I hear the PS2 version had some extra stuff. Problem is I can't find that one anywhere.

I liked Star Fox Adventures too, although I agree with you that it was too easy... buuuuut the ending made me laugh... and not in a good way... OoOooO LET'S THROW IN THAT GUY IN A WAY THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO FIT JUST BECAUSE IT'S STAR FOX!...
It's funny how Tombor asked if there are any good non-Nintendo games on the system, and nobody has mentioned any yet... I myself can't think of any past Resident Evil... Or Eternal Darkness if second party counts as not Nintendo
Other than that I hear Nightfire is Ok and so is Mortal Kombat, although I thought I heard that the PS2 version of MK is a bit better gameplay-wise... but I dunno...

Is Cubivore a good game for people that like AC? I've heard around that it is something for the "quirky" people like me who like games like AC or whatnot. But get Metroid Prime! I rented it (the game was sitting there telling me to rent it, so I did even though I'm still asking for it, cuz I haven't beaten it yet) and I think its the best 'Cube game to date! (Until Zelda comes out)

Blast it DeathsHand!!! Now you've spoiled another ending of a video game!!! It hasn't been out here for so long so we haven't beated SFA yet!!
I have:
Rogue Leader (good but not as good as Rogue Squadron)
Pikmin (so fun, but sometimes a bit boring)
SSB:M (nice for multiplayer)
SMS (must-have, although not as captivating as SM64)
RE (great, longer than expected [I'm STILL not on the second disc! ])
I'm gonna buy TimeSplitters 2 this week. Sounds very good!! Especially with some friends!
Jedi Knight 2 might be worth the purchase, I dunno.

I want Doshin
Are you talking recent non-Nintendo games, or any at all? Cause I know you had a Cube before, not sure all you've played. Sega's games are good. Monkey Ball series, Beach Spikers, Sonic. And I love the RE series, don't recall whether you're a fan or not.
Most of the non-Nintendo Gamecube games I own are mutli-platform, so I won't bother listing those.
How's C vs. SNK EO?

Oh no, I've ruined one of Nintendo's big surprise endings
Well I guess it was a surprise... but not in a good way... I just thought it was a cheap stupid way to make the game more star-foxy...

Damn...you must really suck. Seriously, RE is SHORT (3 -5 hours)and easy. why don't you just tell me where you are and I'll tell you what to do next.
And TS2 sucks, IMO. I guess if you do have friends its ok, but why waste money on a game for only multiplayer purposes?

The second disc only has the very end of the game on it.

Ummm yeah... I doubt you beat it in 3 - 5 hours on your first time through... It took me like 13 hours or something my first time through... though to be fair, I was taking my time and I also liked walking areas... I dunno why... I guess it was just the atmosphere of the game and the way the characters look when they walked (especially while holding a handgun)... When there are a bunch of monsters lurking around, I doubt they'd be so wreckless and running everywhere around corners and such... but I guess I'm just weird, I thought it looked neat...
Anyways enough of my pointless rant, RE is pretty short though... And like Gekko said, the last disc contains the very end of the game... probably an hour tops your first time through... unless you're very slow... but if you're playing it a second time and you're trying to go fast, it could take you as short as like 15 minutes to get through...
