Hmm if GTA3 was players choice last year (which isn't surprising since it's the best PS2 game and most ppl have a PS2), chances are that Vice City will be it this year.
Last year's game of the year was an X-Box shooter. Chances are that this year it will be a Cube shooter.

Chances look good for Metroid Prime. But by that time I won't even have played it yet!

Wait a minute; is this for what we THINK will end up being GOTY, or what we declare as GOTY in our opinions?

If the former, it'll probably be really close between Metroid Prime and Splinter Cell...
