I saw Red Dragon on Friday night, and I must say, it was one hell of a movie. I haven't seen Silence of the Lambs or Hannibal, so I guess I cannot really compare the movies.... And I have not seen Manhunter either, which I heard was better that Red Dragon. But I think that the acting was great in tthis movie, but there should have been some more blood and guts.

I havn't seen any of the movies from the series, but I've heard stuff aboot them, o'course, and to me if a movie like that can still be very entertaining and all without a bunch of gore, that's even better...
Like how if horror movies can still be scary, but don't use cheap pop-out scares...
And stuff...
Come to think of it, I don't see how blood and gore would actually improve anything with any movie... except I guess one of those realistic war movies or something...
Not that I anything against gore...

Go rent First Strike if that's your thing. Jackie Chan sings in that movie, too. He does his own singing in a lot of his movies, and he knows it's funny to watch.
Then again, I'm the guy who thought the Yoda fight wasn't worth the price of admission all by itself (in my opinion, the rest of the movie barely compensated for my $7.50).

I saw the movie last night with my friend. I loved it. It's a great part of the Hannibal Lector series.
I felt pity for the blind girl though... Heh

woohoo! movie talk. ok, this is what i have to say....
I saw red dragon on the thurday before it came out, i was testing out my new cable modem

Red Dragon is a f***ing disgrace. It's nowhere near as good as Manhunter, and it has a few variations in the story line.

What are you talking about? Variations in story line? You are acting like red dragon was a remake of manhunter there. Its not. Anyways Red Dragon still follows the book a lot closer than manhunter does. I thought red dragon was great, much better than hannibal (don't blame ridley, it was the book, it was no good to start with!). It was a lot more like silence. It reminded me of kiss the girls too. Brett ratner did a great job considering thats his first serious movie with those calibur of actors (his next movie is superman btw). THe acting was great, I especially liked ralph fiennes. The movie kind of made you feel sorry for him, like all good movies of that genre do or should. It was not a disgrace.
I saw the ring yesterday. I liked it. I didn't really like it cause of the story, but more because of the...um...cinematography i guess you would call it. The camera angles and the colors were beautiful.
Btw, the ring is about this vhs tape that if ppl watch its rumored that they die in 7 days so this girl tries to find out if its true. Its based on a japanese movie that came out in 98 that was based on a book series....
Um...ridley scott has got a movie coming up with russell crowe about tripoli. look forward to that. tom hanks is doing a movie with the coens soon, that will be sweet. and of course look for spielbergs catch me if you can with tom hanks this dec....

i went to see Red Dragon last night, and I must say it was a very good movie. I like the fact that you know who the killer is all throughout the movie compared to those cheap slasher flicks where you find out who the killer is at the end. Anthony Hopkins did a spectacular job, the guy who played the killer (i belive his last name is Fienes) was also very good. the guy who played Will was great too, i cant help but think i've seen him before (was he in Silence of the Lambs?).
and for those of you who are intertested in The Ring, i've found a little movie for you. Its the whole freaky VHS that the people in the movie watch. Can you watch it and live?
