I'm not the least bit surprised and I doubt anyone else is either for the same reasons that Edge cites (Halo Reach & Natal) but noteworthy nonetheless. Now about those (likely Call of Duty-esque) RPG elements Cliffy was talking about...

This makes sense. I mean developers/publishers are finding that they don't need to stick games in the holiday season for them to sell. Gears and Halo too close together makes no sense, and we know Reach is in the second half of the year.

The focus on Natal though doesn't give much faith for any big marquee titles after Reach for the year. Unless, I'm missing something.

Yeah looks like my 360 wont be on too much after August. I've got SSF4 next month and Blazblue Continuum Shift in June. Oh and Alan Wake at some point I will rent.

Hopefully money isn't too much of an issue for me so I can get back up on the Xbox train by the time this comes out.

I think if they want to do some serious stuff with the graphics the engine really needs to be worked. The games look great, don't get me wrong, but you could tell at points that it was kinda struggling at points.

This might just be the game that gets me back into online multiplayer. Other than a couple rounds of CoD last weekend, the last multiplayer game I played was Gears 2.

Gears 2 online but I never played it after they supposedly fixed the miserable matchmaking. If I played Gears 2 online it was mostly playing Horde with Earl and some other random people. It was a good time.

I was really disappointed with Gears 2 online. Only played it for about a month or two. The first gears, though? I played it for usually 3-4 hours a night until Gears 2 came out. I was in love with that game. Compared to the first game, Gears 2 was broken in a few fundamental ways. Or I guess broken's not quite the right word. It was just too different.

I would say changed.

Fundamentally the first game was a game I like to call "Shotgun and Run." There was a semi-glitch/just regular game shit that allowed you to basically run around and focus for a split second in First person mode with the shotgun and unload the full blast of the shotgun in one concentrated spot. With enough practice you could murder anyone with relative ease.

That's when it got tricky because people thought they were pro at GoW for doing that shit. However pros do it with pistol headshots and torque bows. Oh and nade tagging. Honestly I felt untouchable at GoW1.

GoW 2 basically changed how a lot of the weapons worked and shit, but not enough. They made snipers hella broke. I honestly couldn't sit through the horrible match making process to ever play a MP game in the second one.

Really hoping things pan out in GoW3 multi. Of course they added another old man for me to choose so I'm excited about that. Curious if it's Marcus's father or not. I assume it is because of the radio message at the end of the 2nd game.

In the second game I really enjoyed single player and horde modes, but the MP was ass. I'm hoping in the third game it's all very good. I'm also hoping for 4 player co-op finally. PLEASE! Dibs on old man.
