i, Lucifer
I just started reading this book today...easily the most funny piece of literature that I have ever read. Not to mention one of the most thought provoking and interesting looks at the human condition.
The book is narrated by Lucifer himself, and describes, in great detail, the creation of heaven, the fall of himself and his renegade angels, the creation of the universe, Adam and Eve in Eden, and the temptation of man.
The book alternates between the story of his history, and his current condition. God has sent Gabriel to Lucifer with a message: "He wants Lucifer to come back home." The catch is that he must live in the body of a man who tried to commit suicide (while the man's soul stays in purgatory). If he can live a good life, he gets to come back.
The only thing is that Lucifer doesn't want to go back, but he takes a 1 month test drive in the body.
*Note: If you are easily offended by blasphemy...don't even bother. Although you will be missing out.

Re: i, Lucifer
Sounds pretty cool. I always enjoy a story told from the villian's side.

Sounds delightful!

Re: i, Lucifer
Sounds interesting, although if I ever do read it, it'll be after I read Paradise Lost...

So basicly it's like "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs" but it's on the bible, and a lot longer?

Re: i, Lucifer
Could this book be a secret bible for Satanists?

Re: i, Lucifer
I am offended by blasphemy but I also have a very open mind about such things. I'd be interested in hearing the story. Although, I probably wouldn't want to read the book.
And Link, Paradise Lost is a great book. I want to read it again.

Tell my wife and children I love them in his last breath
C'mon now amen, amen, amen

That's actually what it reminded me of when I started reading it.
