Re: New Zelda Info
Sigh.
Here I thought we had a 99% game topic, for once, but I sign on and I see offtopic posts.
But I'm glad you guys are settled.
So do you guys think this game will be multi-disc? I sure hope it is. If "70 hours" all fits on to one disc, then we're probably going to see some hollowed gameplay, or something.

If it was a joke, then it was sarcasm. Sarcasm does not translate well to text, so you can hardly blame for taking it seriously. If you don't want to look like a fanboy, quit making jokes like that.
Anyway....
I wouldn't describe TWW's actual gameplay horrible... Just perhaps the organization and proportions of dungeon to nondungeon stuff...
And I see no reason to believe it has to be multi-disc. I would be very surprised if 70 hours wasn't super generous. I'd probably expect something closer to 30 hours...

Yes. You should stop. Everyone else should stop as well.
Now, back to this thread's original topic, Zelda.

Re: New Zelda Info
I'm pretty sure it'll fit on one disc, unless they have voice acting.

To have voice acting, would be to destroy every principle that the Zelda franchise rests upon. There will be NO voice acting. Voice acting is almost as bad as revealing a picture of yourself on forums. It destroys people's imagined concept.
When you make a game, you have voices from the start or none at all ever, in my opinion.

Re: New Zelda Info
WW had "voice acting."
SPLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISH!!!
I think it's going to be the same type as WW. It would make sense.
As long as they don't overuse tracks during gameplay. [see: Navi]

I don't mind little quips from other characters, but if Link says even a single word, I will burn Nintendo's headquarters down.

Link meowed, and like Dan said, he would yell "Come on!" to his partners in WW.
This doesn't have to resort to arson.
I don't mind. If it's Mario-paced talking, that's fine.

Re: New Zelda Info
It's already been confirmed that there will be no full voice acting for this game. The only people on board for voices are the same two guys who have done Link/misc. and Ganondorf/misc. since OoT.

Re: New Zelda Info
I have no problem with Link making little sounds like in WW. But since the dialogue is text-based...in that context he should remain mute. Like if he said "meow" or "come on" in text that would be wrong.

Agreed.
And DM's news comforts me.
I always love the grunts and noises that the characters make instead of actually talking.

Are you sure Ganondorf's voice actor is in? Url?
I was kinda hoping it would be like Majora's Mask, in that there is no Ganon.
