Swedish BitTorrent site cusses at nastygramming Dreamworks lawyers
A group operating a BitTorrent tracker in Sweden got a takedown notice from Dreamworks, citing US law. Their response is priceless:
As you may or may not be aware, Sweden is not a state in the United States of America. Sweden is a country in northern Europe. Unless you figured it out by now, US law does not apply here. For your information, no Swedish law is being violated.
Please be assured that any further contact with us, regardless of medium, will result in
a) a suit being filed for harassment
b) a formal complaint lodged with the bar of your legal counsel, for sending frivolous legal threats.
It is the opinion of us and our lawyers that you are ****ing morons, and that you should please go sodomize yourself with retractable batons.

Oh man that was funny when I read it. Another case recently was a candian ISP was forwarding DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) threats to its canadian customers but you have to remember, the DMCA only applies to the US so people just laughed at the empty threats and shrugged them off

This is honestly priceless......honest.....it makes me laugh just thinking about it.
But it is so true, no Swedish law is being violated, so why did they even send the threat?
I think the Swedish company should sue for frodulant threats.
*sigh*
That is the best response to a threat i have ever heard.

LOL, they even are able to speak with the same type of tact as snobby lawyers!
DMCA = Dumb, Moronic, Crappy Acting. Haha fnally a decent acroynm for a bad law.
I want a DMFA -- Digital Millenium Freedom Act, it's purpose? To nullify the DMCA! This is priceless, Canada & Sweden: The filesharing countries, now just watch as online Prohibition helps boost online bootlegging.
