I have no doubt peppers will win this, after all, there are reasons why aol is popular.

but nirvana is easily better, more talent, creativity, thier songs will get played for years and years to come. pappers songs get annoying after a while and stop getting played.

only thing peppers have over nirvana is thier lead singer is alive.

Kurt was a great songwriter but their songs were really easy to play. They were really simple.. :P They weren't that great. As stated before, they're extremely over rated. :P

and the Chili Peppers were great back then, and they're still pretty good today. I loved By the Way album :P

actually, they're still underrated, but its getting to the point where they're getting what they deserve.

and the simplicity of most thier songs was by design, peppers are good, and still one of the better bands, but they're one of the crowd in terms of sound. many bands sound like them.

nirvanas songs still sound like they're new, they dont sound dated.

i dont really want to put a lot against peppers, cuz i do like them for the most part, my gripe being thier songs get old fast.

nirvana was just a better band.

Yeah, i agree too.

The only reason a Nirvana song seems old and outdated, is because its a Nirvana song, and everyone knows its old.

But their music sounds almost the same as some of the popular music out today, their music is still somehow fresh and new.

While i like the chilies, the did kinda sell out to the styles of music that was popular at the time, dont get me wrong, i kinda like them, but still.

Like in the 80's they were more rap, early 90's it was more raw rock stuff, and for the majority now its kinda soft and *****-ish compared to what they used to do.

Like for example, compare "Fight like a brave" to " By the way". By the way sounds like they didnt even make it. Although i like both songs.

I agree as well. Kurt was an awesome songwriter. But he sucked on the guitar. I mean, he wasn't like completely bad, but he wasn't phenominal either. Which is why it is safe to say that his riffs are easy to learn. I forget which band singer said it as well that K.C. sucked at guitar.

I like RHCP better because I love Flea on bass, he's extremely good at it. And I'm an aspiring vocalist so Keidis(sp?) is an inspiration to me as well.

I'm gonna have to stick with nirvana because I was a nirvana fan back in the day, I got hooked on the song "smells like teen spirit" the first time my sister played it and I'm still hooked on it today, That and I was a hole fan before courtney love went Friggin psycho and started dressing more and more like a whore, Her music sounded like that of her b/f hubby kurt and that made me like it.. RHCP just doesn't do it for me they are getting old, but FLEA KICKS ALL ASS..
