March 09, 2004 - In an interview with GamePro, Vicarious Visions' CEO, Karthik Bala, confirmed that the Xbox version of Doom 3 will include a co-op mode. The mode will allow gamers to go through the entire single-player campaign with a buddy.

There was no mention if this feature would be split-screen or through Xbox Live (or both), but with Doom 3 scheduled to be one of the premier Xbox Live titles, we wouldn't be surprised to see some online co-op action.

Unfortunately, the PC version of Doom 3 will not contain this feature. We'll have more on this highly anticipated (and gorgeous!) game in the near future

Makes sense to leave co-op single player to the Xbox only because its nearly impossible to do co-op single player on a PC because of the small chance that you and someone else are in the same exact spot. But if they do co-op over XBL, I wanna see how it will be done.

the real question will be.... Will doom 3 suck worse on pc or xbox. hmmmm
