Default Spyware / Pop-up killers

Holy geeze... My computer must have like a virus or something. Everytime I log on to the computer, I get like 4 or 5 popups (some sexual, some not). DO you guys recommend any good, free spyware/pop-up killers? Please do, lol... My dad thinks that this is happening because I am like going on some crazy sites or something, lol.

Any help would be great. thanks.

The two programs such as Spybot: search and destroy , and Lavasoft Ad-aware can help to find stuff like that.

Sense I use Mozilla Firebird I don't get any spy ware on my computer hehe.

But since you file share, you get tons of spyware without even knowing it hehe.

I use Ad-Aware for the spyware, and Avant Browser for the popups.

Avant Browser is sort of like a shell or something that adds on to Internet Explorer, so you get all the goodness of IE with a whole bunch of cool little tweaks and stuff that basically make it perfect. And it blocks popups like a hot damn.

I had the same problem man. Happaned to me last week. It went on for 5 days and I solved the problem. It's really annoying, I left my house and when I came back, I had 28 windows of spam open. One of them was "Enlarge your Penis for $$$".

Trust me, download this and it will fix everything, believe me.

Go to the first Spyware download button and download Spyware/Adware Remover 7.2.

Hope that helps.

um... Mozilla Firebird is a open source project web browser port of the Mozilla suite(also called "Seamonky"), not a file share program. There is no way spy ware could ever get put in without anybody noticing. http://www.mozilla.org/

Where do you get the idea I file share??? .... or are you just playing with me Gamemaster, unless you are referring to that bitorrent links I posted in my mozilla thread, something I don't use anyways.

I just said that since I use Mozilla Firebird for surfing rather then IE or the shells like Avant or myIE2, I have not gotten anything detected by Ad-aware or spybot anymore. If anything the Avant and other IE shells are spy ware in comparison to Mozilla Firebird.

Vampyr, I already do use Ad-Aware as to why I suggested it along with Spybot.

This is true. If you use Kazaa Lite++ then you will get less spyware than Kazaa Media Desktop, but you still get a lot.

Seven7 should deffinatly download Ad-Aware. you will be suprised with how much spyware you have from just file sharing.

[Edit: I went and downloaded that Avant Browser. It is VERY sweet. thanks a lot for that link Pure Evil. The internet will not be the same agian.]
