Default True Crimes: Streets of LA

I'm surprised that no one has posted anything about this game yet?

I know it's a "busy" time of the year for gamers, but I'm sure atleast someone here has played/rented it.

Anyhow, I brought it this past weekend, and it's a pretty cool game. It isn't quite as open-ended in some cases as GTA, but it's still a fun game.

It does however have a lot of glitches. Some random slowdown, MAJOR slowdown, some cases the game is frozen, but not over. The characters go through walls, the floor and all other random objects.

Some times it's not too bad, but in the middle of busting a criminal and they go through a fence and I can no longer arrest them?

And I want to move to LA, since it seems everyone there gets free karate lessons.

I live in LA, I was going to get the game until... Gamespot gave it a 7.2 and SOCOM II came to the pic.

I've rented it for the GCN. Pretty neat. I've never encountered any glitches yet, heard plenty about them though.

I've really enjoyed it. Its not really much like GTA3 or VC at all besides driving around in the city. Not the details anyway.

The story is crap IMO, but the gameplay's good and that's what matters. I think some of the random crimes are crap. Sometimes the people will run up to my car, pull me out of the car (even though I haven't actually stopped or slowed down or anything) and shoot me until I'm dead. There's nothing I can do during this time at all...

Sucks....

Otherwise, pretty neat game.
