The Purse
Is it just me or is anyone else not satisfied with the GameCube so far? I mean, there's got to be a reason why they are third overall in the sales, and why Sega Sports' football game won't be released on it. Just look at it's library and compare it to everyone else's. No comparison. And before anyone says, more quality games are on GC, I say there's not that much variety. The more you put out, the more likely you are to get something different.
But a major thing to me was when they were about to come out. They actually had many(!) believeing that there would be no delays. Anyone else remember that? That's like minimum-wage salary parents promising their 4 children that they'll go to Disneyland every year. It is just impossible. People's ideas change, and corrections of major projects almost always come at the end.
But the biggest thing to me is that Zelda thing. All this time later, I still can't get over it. They came out with something so jaw-dropping. Then they shocked the world with that Spaceworld unveiling. WTF was that? I still remember some saying that this was the original vision, try it out first. Pure Crap. I'm sure this why they are where they are now and make most of their money from the Gameboy. The customer is always right. I mean, if that's the way it was going to be, fine. But don't get everyone's hopes up just to destroy them. It may be his vision, but it is the gamer's money. And that is the point of business, isn't it? To make money.
It's just a shame to me that is eavch successive generation Nintendo, which once was the game industry, gets less and less important.

Re: The Purse
preach brotha...if a debate starts I got your back
GCN is the biggest dissapointment of the three... it fell far short of my expectations. While Ps2 and Xbox (especialy Xbox) did far greater than my expectations.

Re: Re: The Purse
The Wind Waker sucks major ass. It's actually one of my worst buys for the Cube. Totally no atmosphere, the story isn't told well enough, the L-triggering sucks, the sea is soooo boring and the puzzles are SO unlogical. "Take a picture of the most frightened person on the island." Bull****, I've tried almost everybody. (please don't spoil it... I'll it find out within a few years)
Hm Nintendo relies on its great characters, but then they have to make good games with them. So far, Metroid is the only game that lives up to the expectations. But it's just such a different style... it didn't sell.

I'm enjoying my GC ten times more than my PS2 and I won't buy an X-Box because there isn't anything that interests me at all. Games in general are becomming a lot less fun than they used to be, and it's not because I'm changing. I still love tons of NES and SNES games, N64 too. But there's only a handful of very entertaining games on all three nex gen systems. Gamecube happens to have most of them and GC gets 80-90% of playtime between my PS2 and GC.

Well, you are entitled to an opinion, yet some of things you said are false.
