Argos to sale Gamecube @ £78.99 ($124 USD)

At the time of press, the promotion has proved a huge success with Argos Direct, the internet sales side having sold out, and most of the shops running out or very low on stock after a tabloid press advertising blitz at the weekend. "You better be quick" said a store manager in Yorkshire when we cold-called, "I'm not sure if we've got any left."

Keep your eyes peeled for the never-ending cycle of cheapo GameCube promotions. Who knows, maybe they will be giving them away next week... Maybe with a GBA SP?

Europeans are getting hugely cheap 'Cubes and they better get one while they last! I wish that would happen here so that I can get a friend of mine to get one since its a helluva deal.

Puppet, the article forgot to mention that if you get the GC for £78 with a free game and memory card, you can get any other game for half price

Yea I know thats why I posted the quote from computer and video games which did have that info in it, and that is why i think it will sell so well!

The good thing is that argos have now sold out of all their gamecubes. So atleast they are actually selling.

Kinda makes it seem like gamecube is totally doomed in europe.. and things are goin downhill in north america... only place it has an advantage over xbox is japan

some people said that they were discontinuing the cube just like dixon's was.... i emailed em, and they said:

Dear Mr Grumbo,

Bloody hell, those are the sales of the cube in one chain for only one day :|.
