My rant? I like Splinter Cell, though currently, I'm only on mission 3. I'll do them in order.

Alright, now that I've finished Splinter Cell, I finally got around to playing Kola Cell. Overall it's not bad, but you can tell it's a download.

The level is quite a bit shorter than the regular 9 levels. By quite a bit shorter, I do not mean it's short. The normal levels took nearly 2 hours for me to beat. This one took closer to 45 minutes. There were no cut scenes, and there were not as many conversations between guards. There were still the radio transmissions crucial to the mission, but there was less chatter. Also, the mission was pretty much given to you at the start. Only one more objective was added during the mission. Normally many things happen, plans change, new objectives are added, but not here. Something to be expected from a downloadable level.

They did add two new items, a nerf basketball where you can shoot it all day long, and a shovel, which you can throw, or drop just like any other item.

I can't complain about getting another level for free, it adds to the game. But it shows the real problem with downloadable content, there are limits. If this was a full size level, I could easily see the download being 4-5 times larger than this. Then again, some levels are supposed to be released on the OXM disc, which would allow for the larger levels.

If my memory recalls correctly, there were 11 levels that did not make it into the game. Hopefully they will release them every couple of weeks between Xbox Live and OXM.
