www.gamers.com is reporting that tomorow at a conference, Nintendo will probably be announcing their purchase of Capcom, which would explain the 5 new exclusive games coming out. I cant say how happy i am to hear it

Hopefully Nintendo will oversee Capcom's games (Survival/Adventure/Platform) and make them better!! I'm not a huge Capcom fan anymore.
Except for fighting games and Megaman. They kick ass!

Except for fighting games and Megaman, Capcom games need improvements IMO. They have good idea's, but for me they don't put out like Konami/Square.

Hmm... CubeNation is sure that they WON'T buy Capcom... just have some more exclusives...
Yeah if Nintendo helped them with their games...

Well, Im not going to believe or disaprove of any of the stories (just to not look bad when either thing hapens). But, this story was originaly reported by CBS Marketwatch, which is probably the most reliable source yet.

Excellent. Hopefully one of the many fruits would be a Megaman EXE Transimission ONLINE! =D Er... well...
It seems logical... pretty much. CBS is pretty official.
It's funny only months ago were we afraid that Capcom was going to be bought by Microsoft... bleh. I sure hope something happens regardless.
Oh yes, one little node that makes me EXTREMELY giddy is the fact that I can't access the Capcom America website!
Well.... er.... you know.

Oh yeah, it's the birthday of Rockman today. 15th birthday! Wow..

"Today your 15th birthday of lock man! ■
■ Lock man
■ Drama & in addition
■ All the 3 types Today is your 15th birthday of the "lock man"! With e-CAPCOM CD3 type of bosom oak of such a lock man, animation DVD, it is in the midst of very popular selling! It sells also the matte I I "コブン" goods to in addition to. Trying checking by all means, don't you think?!
* When illustration the left is clicked, the lock man goods which have been sold with e-CAPCOM are indicated all commodity. (There is also a commodity of sellout in. Keeping seeing slowly, don't you think?!!"
So.. yeah, anyways, both the Nintendo website and the capcom website are down... except their japanese counterparts are.. hmm...

Guys, CBS Market Watch only reported that analysts are speculating that there will be a buyout. They never said it was definitely going to happen.
And as Angrist pointed out, CubeNation has said that a buyout is not going to happen. I tend to agree with them. It's not Nintendo's style at all. They prefer small companies because it's more cost-effective to build them up and they don't have to deal with things like firing all the marketing people.
Both CubeNation and CBS Market Watch say that there's going to be a conference tomorrow, though. Something is going on, and it probably involves Capcom somehow.

I highly doubt it's a Capcom buy-out. What's going to happen to my beloved BoFV being released on PS2 this March? I sure as hell don't want Nintendo getting profit from that.

No one has seemed to mention anything about the TRIFORCE or NICKEL CITIES, hmm? I just had thought about it. If Capcom plans to release Nickel Cities in America as well as the already-opened ones in Japan, maybe they could flood them with Triforce boards, F-zero Cubed, Star Fox Armada, and Mario Kart? (or something of the like). That would seem most reasonable.
A buyout would seem pliable, because if Nintendo controlled Capcom, they basically have a hold on the arcade and home game market. That way they could certainly push the TriForce to it's full potential. People haven't realized that the Nickel City could be a hidden treasure. Plus, with a low price stamped on Capcom's forehead, and a ton of famous game series, I think this would be money in the bag for Nintendo for SURE. Capcom's followed Nintendo since the early days with the NES, and the SNES, and I think it's time to take their friendship and turn it into something special. Who knows, maybe it's not a buyout, rather a very strong partnership (in which Nintendo buys only a small amount, grasping hold of them. Like Sony and Square). Who agrees?

A good friendship is much more likely than a buy out.

Yes, and that way, they also have money to partner with Sega, Namco, or even someone else. Plus, have money left over for chops for the party afterwards.

I guess I've heard that Capcom will become a first party developer and that Sega and Nintendo will merge into one company...
Cube-Europe.com says that the announcement will be made today, but that it's a rumor and is possibly not true.
