Lack of good games??What's the deal?

Man, im kind of pissed. Everytime i open up a magazine or go on the internet, it says something about GC and Xbox. Metroid this, splinter cell that....blah blah blah

Whenever i see anything at all about ps2 games (if i do) then its really not that exciting, or some cool thing thats gonna come out in like 2004 or something. what the hell? sure there are alot of A++ games that came out in the past, but im not seeing anything truly awesome like i am now. With the exception of GTA:VC i guess.

I went to wally world and i was playing the demos, for xbox panzer dragoon, gc metroid prime, and ps2 atv offroad fury2;offroad fury isnt too great compared to the others. what gives? when are we going to see some good games again!?

well, now that i kind of look back, many of the awesome games other systems are getting, we had on ps2 earlier. That could be looked at as good and bad, because we've already had them, but the games being ported to thenew systems get all new options and featurs and other stuff.

Exclusivity seems to be fading, which sux, and it seems like it is mainly with ps2. While the other console owners may be happy and stuff, it kind of sucks for the ps2 owners. Both of the other systems are getting NEW games; by new games i mean newly developed and new concepts and stuff; not just rehashed sequals.

well now that ive ranted i wanna say a few things ....ugh. Maybe its the lack of my money, and that i only own one system. But wasnt this system supposed to be the one with the best games, and with them coming out more often?

I'm not by any means saying ps2 sucks or anything, just that......it seems to be in a drought....again!so far i guess ive enjoyed the ps2, but not enough good titles are out that are worth owning. I cant take another one of these gameless periods, and im hoping that there will be some new, truly awesome games coming out for ps2.

hope you dont take it the wrong way, not a bash just a thoughtful look at the ps2 RIGHT now (for me i supose). Again, im not saying its bad, i think its pretty sweet, and apparently millions of other people do too.

Jesus h i didnt intend for this to be so long. Anyway, can somone post a list of good games coming out at the end of 2002/and begining to middle of 2003?

Nice speech.

But... it still doesn't explain why PS2 sells so damn much if they only do editorials on other system's games... Damn, when I saw a PS2 ad I cringed up. PS2 does not need any advertising, the system practically sells itself.

Theres definitely not a drought if you're an RPG fan like me:

- Star Ocean 3
- Xenosaga
- RPG Maker 2
- Breath Of Fire V
- Final Fantasy XI
- Dragon Warrior VIII
- Chaos Legion
- Final Fantasy XII
- quite possibly a new Chrono game, FFXIII and a KH2

and more that I can't think of right now...but alll of those are good quality titles.

And right now there are awesome RPGs that are out such as Suikoden 3, Legaia 2, and KH...

If you think about it, after the PS2 was out for a year, it started getting the better games. Now that GC/XBox have been out for a year, they are getting their great games.

The Ps2 had it's peak, that was a while back.

Now the GC and Xbox are pumping out the big guns.

Ratchet and Clank looks promising...
Forget about Sly Cooper...
According to Namco (or whoever is making Xenosaga) says that they are looking at a good 80+ hours of play!!!:eek:
Suikoden 3 is very good with a very good battle system...
FFXI hopefully does better than it did in Japan with its server problems...

and that's all i can think of now

right now, GCN plus Xbox's games together still arent nearly as good as PS2's games. and the future doesnt look to be any different, not from anything i've heard anyway
