There is a brand out there called The South Butt, that sells outdoor wear and mountain sweaters and jackets. Sound familiar? The North Face thinks so, and they're not happy.
I welcome the parody. Although I appreciate the quality products that The North Face makes, if you actually use them (I just bought a good North Face jacket to stay warm for my Denver/Estes Park trip, hopefully one of many more), it has long become a status brand to show how much money you spent.
In The North Face's defense, they do have to protect their brand or risk losing it. But c'mon, who's going to mistake the two?
