Games you would like to see released on Wii Virtual Console
We might do a Xbox Arcade thread earlier, but for now, what games would you like to see released on the Wii Virtual console?
Right now, a few I can think of:
Ogre Battle 64. I never got to play this game this game the first time around, but it always interested me.
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. One of my favorite N64 titles, that I for some reason never owned, I just rented it a lot. Would love a chance to actually play this one and beat it.
Quest 64. I just want to see what made me play this game in the first place. I remember enjoying it, for some reason or another.
Pro Wrestling. (NES Game). My brother and my dad and I played this game a lot when I was a kid. Would be fun to mess around on it again.
Battletoads. Very unlikely to show up since it was developed by Rare...but we can hope.
Mischief Makers. Another N64 title that I remember wanting as a kid but I never played.

Not that these would happen for one reasons or another.
THQ N64 Wrestling Game the whole line of them. WCW vs nWo, Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy.
Goldeneye Doubt it would happen or people want on XBLA but yeah.
Turtles in Time- The original. The SNES version.

I don't think I'll buy any of the VC games. I just can't bring myself to pay for something I already own, or can own for the same price on cartridge.

Well, you know cartridges have a finite life span. They will eventually just quit working, given that they have a battery inside of them and they are based on flash memory.
Plus I enjoy just being able to pick a game and start it, and not have to change cartridges or try to blow dust out of them. And you don't have to actually have all the old systems hooked up.

Everything by Rare
Specifically 'Snake Rattle N' Roll' from the NES and 'Jet Force Gemini' from the N64.
Oh and let's not overlook Blast Corps.

But virtual games have no resell value. Practically none, unless you sell your Wii and get some extra cash because of the included VR games.
Anyway, the only game I sometimes want to have ready to boot is Super Mario World. But I suppose that will get old fast enough.

You are looking at the Virtual Console all wrong.
1)Even though this thread asks for it, I use the VC more as a way to get games I've never tried before such as Sin and Punishment, Gunstar Heroes and Pokemon Snap. It saves me the hassle of having multiple consoles hooked up to my TV, multiple controllers and memory cards to keep track of.
2)NOt everyone buys games to sell them back, and hell most video games have a weak re-sell value anyhow, getting back less than half of what you invested into it.

Re: Games you would like to see released on Wii Virtual Console
Yeah, as I've said before, I don't buy games intending to resell them, and I probably never will.
As BaB mentioned...they have a terrible resell value anyway. You can sell an NES game for what, $1 or $2? Why even bother, even if you have a ton of games you aren't going to get much out of them. I place more value than a couple of dollars on the memorabilia and nostalgia factor alone.
There are a few exceptions where games are worth more than they were to begin with, whenever they become rare. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the PS2 is one of them, which I own. But even though it's worth quit a bit more than I paid for it, I'd still rather own the game and be able to say I have it. Besides, the price for it probably dropped quite a bit whenever the 360 remake came out anyway.
Games don't really make good collector's items IMO, if you're intent is to sell them at some point.
Another good reason for using the VC is that the games look better on an HD TV. I had an NES plugged up to my HDTV a couple of weeks ago, and it did weird things with the colors, as well as just removing pieces of the graphics.

Re: Games you would like to see released on Wii Virtual Console
Definitely agreeing with the old N64 wrestlers, and Ogre Battle 64 is also a plus, even the SNES one too while they're at it!
Mystical Ninja is a title I picked up a few years ago at the recommendation of Geo, and that was actually really fun. I had also found out they made a sequel that never made it to the Americas.
And all I have to say about Mischief Makers is HEEEEEEEELP MEEEE MARINAAAAAAAAAA
Pretty much all games from Treasure are AWESOME, including Gunstar Heroes and the sequel on the GBA.
Quest 64 is another one I have too. I don't know about that one. It's kinda interesting but at the same time.. eh. I dunno. I think it was a launch title and there were games with much more detail etc.

Re: Games you would like to see released on Wii Virtual Console
You mean the Mystical Ninja game for DS, right?
I just found out that Lucas Arts is bringing the Jedi Knight series to Steam. I might pick some of those up if they're under €5.

Goldeneye and Starfox 64.
Also, the best shooter ever, aka The Conduit. An instant classic to be cherished for generations to come.
