This wouldn't be a problem except for some reason in Resistance: Fall of Man, pushing the back trigger skips cut scenes. We had to reload to watch scenes a couple of times.

I have only held the controller once at a GameStop kiosk. Don't know why, but I've never been fond of the general design of the original/dual shock/sixaxis controller. I can't quite pinpoint the reason either. Even after having a PSone and PS2 for a couple months while my friend was out of the country, I still did not warm up to it.
As for the triggers depressing when the controller is set down, I would think that Sony would've done something about that. I'm totally just guessing, but couldn't that wear them out if they stay in that depressed state for an extended period of time? Probably not, but you never know?
