I haven't played a Pokémon game since Gold and Silver. Maybe I'll try this one out to see what differences have been made to the gameplay (although it does looks awfully similar... hopefully gameplay's changed more than the visuals...)
The main reason I'm interested in this one is for the WiFi Battles. Not since the first versions did I have anyone to battle. Sadly people outgrew (or told themselves that they did) Pokemon. So the last two outings weren't very fulfilling for me.
