Killer Instinct III on Gamecube...
Well, according to Cube-Europe's affiliates CubeNation (an official source) it's a reality.
Here is the glorious news!
In short for the lazy people, it will be on the gamecube, it will be anounced THIS YEAR, and screen shots will be released with the press conference.
So... Who's hungry for some butt kicking?

Sweet news! I wonder how this game will look and play. Well, I am mostly wondering how the game will look .
I guess Rare has to be pretty far into development of this game... if it will be released this year, I hope that Rare can keep that date.

I wonder if it will be 3-D? Will it have the original fighters? Or totally new ones? Damn I wanna know! Will there be bigger combos?!?!?! Will this be on that tri-force arcade board? So many questions!

Killer Instinct on the Snes was the last real traditional fighter that i loved to bits. Ever since then i've sort of lost interest, but have found new interest in fighters like Super smash bros and Power stone, that are some of the few that seem to drift away from the norm successfully. But the fact that i loved killer instinct on the snes, just might get me to buy this. My favorite character was spinal, he kicked serious arse. And the music was excellent as well.
If this is true (which i think it is, it's been a rumour for ages now), and Rare haven't exactly jumped up to denie it at anytime. So i think it's true. I just hope they deliver an excellent game, which i have no doubt that they will. But i also hope it isn't like ever single other fighter.
But if you think about it, i think that they can make this into an excellent game and not follow the same route as ever single other fighter. In the original, the characters are all very different, some are animals, some are people. And there fighting styles are all very different, unlike SO MANY fighters today (i'm not going to point any fingers at any recent fighters, but i think you all know what i'm talking about). Theres Riptor, a caged raptor, theres spinal a skeleton warrior with a sword and shield (he has his weaopns at all times). I can't remember all the names, but theres the werewolf (whos form is always a wolf), theres the cyborg, theres many other fighters with distinct different characteristics. All with there own fighting style. I think they could really pull of a brilliant fighting game i may actually like (admitally, the fact that i loved the original is going to help, but still).

Let's see how many I can remember from KI Gold...
Jago (ninja)
Kim Wu (ninja and my favorite )
'Uncle' Tusk (Tarzan-like man with a sword)
Spinal (skeleton)
SabreWulf (wolf)
Glacius (he's a classic... T-1000 kinda guy, but then of ice)
Orchid (a chick)
... I know a lot more but I don't have time for this.
Best new was that it is being developed by Rare... one or two years ago they said that it was in development, but not by Rare...

Killer Instict was cool, and so was KI:Gold, but the lack of options and secret characters and interaction and such made them only good for a hire in my opinion. But still, let's see who I remember.
Original:
Jago
Eyedol
Cinder
Glacius
Orchid
Spinal
Sabrewulf
Fulgore
*slight pause
Combo
*thinking*...
Riptor (I'm not cheating by looking at the other posts by the way)...
Ah! Thunder!
KI: Gold-
Orchid
Jago
Spinal
Glacius
Kim Wu
Maya
Fulgore
Sabrewulf
Tusk
Gargos
Combo
... I give up.

Will the Nintendo GameCube become the platform of choice for beat 'em ups, with this news/rumour and alliances with two of the greatest beat 'em up developers? ( SEGA and Namco.) Quite possibly....

Of course it's being developed by Rareware, it's one of their franchises.

They're denying it again...
Why have they only revealed those 3 games anyway?? StarFox Adventures, Kameo and Donkey Kong racing. They should announce KI3 and PD0!!! Those are their killer aps.
I know that they wanna show that they're also doing new games and not only sequels...

He didn't say K13, he said KI3 or Killer Instinct 3.
