Question laptop graphics card question

with the release of Battlefield 2 getting closer and closer, I was wondering whether or not the game would be playable on my laptop (even on the lower graphics settings)

specs:

Mobile Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06 GHz
512 MB RAM
nVidia GeForce FX Go5200

+rep to anyone who can give me an informed answer
thanks in advance!

well, the CPU and RAM will handle it...i don't know about the video card because i'm not into NVidia, but if it has at least 128MB of VRAM, then you should be fine

the nvidia 5200 was thier cheap very low end card of the 5*00 series, however i dont really know about the laptop side.

you should be able to play the game. probably at lower settings tho. laptops arent the best gaming machines to begin with.

upon further investigation, I have a few details regarding the video card:

Memory Support: 128 MB
Memory Bandwidth: 9.6 GB/s

and null...yeah, I know laptops arent good for gaming but right now it's the only computer I have access to and I really liked BF1942 and just want to figure out if it's worth it for me to purchase BF2. I'll play it on the lowest settings, apparently it still looks pretty good on its lower settings, and the gameplay is what I'm really interested in anyways.

It should play Battlefield 2 fine, but obviously your gonna be turning it down. EA or whoever made it isnt so dumb as to not ensure the lower end systems can handle it. Just...dont expect it to look good but should be able to play well

is that how much memory it actually has, or does it just support that much through 'shared' memory?

and as i said, you should be able to play it.

You will be able to play it. Turning AA and AF off will help a lot, as well as playing at a low resolution (that always helps ). And turn down texture quality a little as well. It should be fine.
