So there was this guy on the train with a PSP...
He walks on playing it, decked out with out of those cases with the flip protector. But he can't manage to continue playing and maintain balance so he closes it up and apparently begins listening to music from it cause he starts dancing around until he realizes people are staring at him. Thus we are standing a mere 2 feet apart...the PSP gently cradled in his arm. I begin to think I could easily swipe it and make a mad dash off the train. Then I ponder if I did such I thing would I keep it or sell it on ebay...but the want for it isn't so great to equal too much money for me. Lucky for him we get off at the same stop cancelling out my proposed getaway.
So far I've seen 2 PSPs out in the wild and no DS. The rate of talk favors the PSP 10:1. Of course these are business men who I've seen with them and talk about it...one guy at my job who's at least 60 recently got one.
Then my former suitemate who already has a DS just got a PSP and calls me up all excited about Mercury and how it's tilt-sensitive. That completely blows him away. He was so excited about that that I didn't want to bring up Kirby Tilt n Tumble and how this isn't anything new technology-wise.
Just some random handheld observances I've had this week...carry on...or Mr. Pants will eat your soul!

Re: So there was this guy on the train with a PSP...
Just recently on Pimp My Ride they put PSP's in the guys trunk on conveyer belts, so it was a moving PSP station. The PSP is the talk of the town also in my area.

I've seen 3 DSes in my town, no PSPs, but I did see three PSPs in one single day at the mall in Vancouver the week after release.

So far I've seen one DS at school. The kid dropped it on the ground. Ihaven't seen any PSP's yet though.

I don't get out much, I've seen one DS (back when it first came out) and no PSPs (aside from mine)... yep...
You really don't see many people around here carrying handheld game systems, if they're old they're too busy wallowing in self-pity and if they're young they're too busy being rich and drinking at over-priced bars...

Re: So there was this guy on the train with a PSP...
I've seen one DS and one (other) PSP at school. No handhelds elsewhere...
It was fun though, I drew people away from a guy's DS by pulling out my PSP. Did the same with an I-Pod.
Anywho, today I saw a Neo Geo.
